Topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are commonly used to treat sports injuries, but evidence-based medical guidance for their standardized and rational use is lacking. This guideline working group identified clinically important issues, obtained the full opinions of patients and clinical staff, and discussed them with the expert group. Based on evidence from the literature, the "clinical practice guidelines for topical NSAIDs in the treatment of sports injuries" were formulated following the methods and principles of international guidelines.

The present study was aimed to compare the clinical outcomes and tendon integrity following arthroscopic repair of articular PT-RCTs using transtendon repair or repair after completion of the tear.
Methods: We performed a systematic electronic database search on Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed and Embase to identify articles equating articular-sided PT-RCTs repair.

At present, there is no consensus on the clinical practice of DLM, and this expert consensus and practice guidelines on DLM was developed and approved by Chinese Society of Sports Medicine according to the Delphi method. Methods: Using Medline, Embase, and Cochrane, we searched for articles comparing tenotomy and tenodesis combined with rotator cuff repair which were published before April 2016 with the terms "biceps", "tenotomy", "tenodesis", and "rotator cuff". The controlled clinical studies that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were assessed for quality of methodology by utilizing the Coleman score.
Carbonic anhydrase III (CAIII) is expressed selectively in type I (slow‑twitch) myofibers. To investigate the association between changes in the expression of CAIII and skeletal muscle structure following denervation, the present study stained adjacent sections of skeletal muscle for ATPase and immunohistochemically for CAIII. In addition, differences in the protein expression and phosphatase activity of CAIII were examined by western blot and phosphatase staining between rat soleus and extensol digitorum longus (EDL) muscles, which are composed of predominantly slow‑ and fast‑twitch fibers, respectively.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) outcomes of arthroscopic microfracture surgery alone or in combination with hyaluronic acid (HA) injection in the treatment of osteochondral lesions of the talus.
Methods: Thirty-five patients with osteochondral lesions of the talus who underwent arthroscopic microfracture were included and followed up for at least 9 months post-operatively. The patients were randomly divided into non-injection group (n = 17) who received treatment with microfracture surgery alone and injection group (n = 18) who also accepted intra-articular injection of HA post-operatively.
Carbonic anhydrase isozyme III (CAIII) is unique among the carbonic anhydrases because it exhibits phosphatase activity. CAIII is relatively specific to skeletal muscles, and may therefore be a useful diagnostic marker for muscular diseases. In the muscles of patients with myasthenia gravis (MG), CAIII is deficient and previous studies have demonstrated that changes in the phosphatase activity of CAIII is a fundamental mechanism underlying the weakness and fatigability of MG.
