Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the potential molecular mechanisms by which taurine protects against cartilage degeneration.

Methods: The anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) surgery was used to construct an animal model of osteoarthritis (OA). Metabolomics was used to identify characteristic metabolites in osteoarthritic chondrocytes.

Mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles: A promising therapeutic strategy in diabetic osteoporosis.

Diabetic osteoporosis (DOP) is a serious complication of diabetes mellitus. It is urgent to explore efficient clinical treatment strategies for DOP. It has been found that mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (MSC-EVs), as an emerging cell-free therapy, show great potential in DOP treatment.

Effects of PD-1 inhibitor combined with anti-angiogenic drugs on efficacy and immune function of non-small cell lung cancer.

Objective: To investigate the effect of PD-1 inhibitor combined with anti-angiogenic drugs on the therapeutic efficacy and immune function of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: Clinical data of 60 NSCLC patients who admitted to a regional Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2020 to August 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. Among them, 23 patients who received sintilimab and anlotinib were in group A, 20 patients treated with sintilimab were in group B, and 17 patients intervened by anlotinib alone were in group C.

Sequential occurrence of T790M mutation and small cell lung cancer transformation in EGFR-positive lung adenocarcinoma: A case report.

Background: The emergence of secondary drug resistance when treating epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) using EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs), seriously affects the therapeutic efficacy and survival of patients. Here, we report a case of advanced NSCLC focusing on the application of multiple biopsy modalities to reveal the development of multiple resistance mechanisms during targeted therapies.

Case Summary: A 54-year-old male patient presented with EGFR 19Del-mutated advanced lung adenocarcinoma, and exhibited the development of a T790M mutation during initial TKI treatment.
