This study introduces a novel approach of precisely depositing InO nanoislands on the edges of BN sheets using selective atomic layer deposition. The modified catalysts demonstrated a significant improvement and characterization results revealed that the presence of InO nanoislands, when free of BO overlayers, is crucial in mitigating side reactions.

Multi-modal 3D object detection is instrumental in identifying and localizing objects within 3D space. It combines RGB images from cameras and point-clouds data from lidar sensors, serving as a fundamental technology for autonomous driving applications. Current methods commonly employ simplistic element-wise additions or multiplications to aggregate multi-modal features extracted from point-clouds and images.

Recently stereo image deraining has attracted lots of attention due to its superiority of abundant information from cross views. Exploring interaction information across stereo views is the key to improving the performance of stereo image deraining. In this paper, we design a general coarse-to-fine deraining framework for stereo rain streak and raindrop removal, called CDINet, comprising a stereo rain removal subnet and a stereo detail recovery subnet to restore images progressively.

Background: The occurrence and development of malignancies include excessive proliferation and apoptosis resistance in tumor cells. This study aimed to identify the effects of Notch1 signaling on proliferation and apoptosis of laryngeal cancer cells in a hypoxic microenvironment.

Methods: Notch1 and Ki-67 expression in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry.

Background: Laryngeal carcinoma is one of the common malignant tumors of the head and neck. Multidrug resistance (MDR) remains a critical problem in the chemotherapy of patients with laryngeal cancer. This study aims to clarify the role and mechanisms of Notch1 signaling in MDR induced by hypoxia in laryngeal cancer cells.

Detecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in human breath is critical for the early diagnosis of diseases. Good selectivity of VOC sensors is crucial for the accurate analysis of VOC biomarkers in human breath, which consists of more than 200 types of VOCs. In this paper, a flexible virtual sensor array (FVSA) was proposed based on a sensing layer of MXene and laser-induced graphene interdigital electrodes (LIG-IDEs) for detecting VOCs in exhaled human breath.

We propose a novel strategy to introduce platinum into the metal nodes of ZIF-8 by preloading Pt as a dopant in ZnO (Pt-ZnO) and then convert it to Pt doped ZIF-8 (Pt-ZIF-8) through a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approach. The solvent-free conversion of Pt-ZnO to Pt-ZIF-8 allows the Pt dopant in ZnO to coordinate with organic linkers directly without the formation of Pt nanoparticles, which is a general issue of many methods. This general synthesis strategy may facilitate the discovery of MMOFs that have not been reported previously.

Car-following is an essential trajectory control strategy for the autonomous vehicle, which not only improves traffic efficiency, but also reduces fuel consumption and emissions. However, the prediction of lane change intentions in adjacent lanes is problematic, and will significantly affect the car-following control of the autonomous vehicle, especially when the vehicle changing lanes is only a connected unintelligent vehicle without expensive and accurate sensors. Autonomous vehicles suffer from adjacent vehicles' abrupt lane changes, which may reduce ride comfort and increase energy consumption, and even lead to a collision.

In this paper, we report attenuation characteristics of aluminum nitride (AIN) film-based surface acoustic waves (SAWs) in liquids and their potential as liquid ethanol sensors. An AIN film-based SAW resonator was fabricated for liquid sensing application. The fabricated SAW device had a Rayleigh wave mode at a resonant frequency of 147.
