This study was to investigate the fundamental composition and structure, hypoglycemic activity and fermentation characteristics of Porphyra haitanensis glycoprotein (PG) following in vitro simulate gastrointestinal digestion. After in vitro digestion, PG was degraded into peptides, amino acids, and reducing sugars, and the digested PG structure evolved into functional aggregates that were more favorable for regulating intestinal flora. Such aggregated structure might inhibit the accessibility of digestive enzymes and significantly enhanced its hypoglycemic activity.

Given the crucial role of thiols in maintaining normal physiological functions, it is essential to establish a high-throughput and sensitive analytical method to identify and quantify various thiols accurately. Inspired by the iron porphyrin active center of natural horseradish peroxidase (HRP), we designed and synthesized two iron porphyrin covalent organic frameworks (Fe-COF-H and Fe-COF-OH) with notable peroxidase-like (POD) activity, capable of catalyzing 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) into oxidized TMB with three distinct absorption peaks. Based on these, a six-channel nanozyme colorimetric sensor array was constructed, which could map the specific fingerprints of various thiols.

To systematically investigate the influence of the number of [AO] layers in the unit cell of hexagonal perovskite oxide on the oxygen evolution reaction performance, we successfully synthesized the three new hexagonal perovskite oxides 2H-BaCoRuO, 6H-BaCoRuO, and 10H-BaCoRuO with the same element composition but different [BaO] layers via the sol-gel method. Here, 2H, 6H, and 10H refer to the number of [BaO] layers contained in the unit cell of the BaCoRuO system. Experimentally, 10H-BaCoRuO, featuring ten layers of [BaO], exhibits optimal electrochemical activity among the three oxide catalysts, and in situ Raman results under various bias voltages confirm its ability to maintain a high surface crystal structural stability.
