Background: Microvascular invasion (MVI) is a key prognostic factor in solitary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), significantly affecting treatment decisions and outcomes. Early prediction of MVI is crucial for enhancing clinical decision-making.
Objectives: This study aimed to develop and evaluate four predictive models for MVI: one based on clinical indicators, one on MRI assessments, one using radiomics, and a combined model integrating all data across multiple medical centers.
Background: We studied the microvascular structure and function of in situ glioblastoma using ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM).
Methods: The in vivo study was conducted via craniotomy in six Sprague-Dawley rats. Capillary pattern, capillary hemodynamics, and functional quantitative parameters were compared among tumor core, invasive zone, and normal brain tissue with ex vivo micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) and scanning electron microscopy.
With the increasing consumption of 3D displays and virtual reality, multi-view video has become a promising format. However, its high resolution and multi-camera shooting result in a substantial increase in data volume, making storage and transmission a challenging task. To tackle these difficulties, we propose an implicit-explicit integrated representation for multi-view video compression.

This study employs super-resolution ultrasound imaging to visualize the microcirculatory heterogeneity in GBM, with the objective of illustrating its predictive value in histological assessments.
Methods: This in vivo study explored the microvasculature in GBM models using 15 Sprague-Dawley rats, divided into three groups based on tumor growth stages (12, 18 and 24 d post-implantation).
Targeted delivery of mRNA with lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) holds great potential for treating pulmonary diseases. However, the lack of rational design principles for efficient lung-homing lipids hinders the prevalence of mRNA therapeutics in this organ. Herein, the combinatorial screening with structure-function analysis is applied to rationalize the design strategy for nonpermanently charged lung-targeted ionizable lipids.

Currently, the therapeutic landscape for SCI is notably sparse, with limited effective treatment options available. Methylprednisolone (MP), a widely used clinical anti-inflammatory agent for SCI, requires administration in high doses that are associated with significant adverse effects.

Methods: This retrospective observational study included 108 patients with upper cervical spinal ependymomas (uCSE) who underwent surgery at Huashan Hospital from 2008 to 2022.
Vascular inflammation regulates endothelial pathophenotypes, particularly in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Dysregulated lysosomal activity and cholesterol metabolism activate pathogenic inflammation, but their relevance to PAH is unclear. Nuclear receptor coactivator 7 () deficiency in endothelium produced an oxysterol and bile acid signature through lysosomal dysregulation, promoting endothelial pathophenotypes.

Herein, we developed a photochemical radical cascade cyclization reaction of isocyanides with α-carbonyl bromides under mild conditions. A sequence of 11-alkyl-substituted 1,4-dibenzodiazepines were produced in 53%-85% yields, demonstrating excellent tolerance towards various functional groups.

Neoadjuvant targeted therapies are a promising approach to reduce the tumor burden and improve the resectability. Selperctinib, a RET kinase inhibitor, has been approved for the treatment of advanced or metastatic RET-altered thyroid cancer.

In the treatment process of proton radiation therapy, the patient needs to be positioned and immobilized before being moved into the treatment position. In this study, the patient was primarily positioned using the 6R robotic treatment couch as the patient support system (PSS). A simplified three-dimensional model of the treatment room was developed based on the relative motion within the treatment room.

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of CRTM in treating CR.
Purpose: The objective of this study is to assess the diagnostic efficacy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in determining the level of glioma infiltration and to investigate its correlation with pathological markers.
Methods: A prospective study involving 16 adult glioma patients was conducted. Preoperative US-(Magnetic Resonance)MR fusion imaging was utilized for tumor infiltration localization, while CEUS was employed to assess hemodynamic alterations.
Defective glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) and β-cell senescence are hallmarks in diabetes. The mitochondrial enzyme pyruvate carboxylase (PC) has been shown to promote GSIS and β-cell proliferation in the clonal β-cell lines, yet its physiological relevance remains unknown. Here, we provide animal and human data showing a role of PC in protecting β-cells against senescence and maintaining GSIS under different physiological and pathological conditions.

Retrospectively, data were collected from 348 PTC patients treated at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University between January 2019 and December 2022, with 241 patients included in the final analyses. Patients with lateral cervical LNM were categorized into a metastasis group, and those without were in a non-metastasis group.

Methods: The study enrolled 528 consecutive patients with CMI who underwent surgical interventions from 2012 to 2022. The surgical strategy for these patients was bony and dural decompression, anatomical reduction of herniated tonsils, or CSF decompression.
CFIRL is a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA), we previously identified as the most significantly upregulated lncRNA in the failing hearts of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). In this study, we determined the function of CFIRL and its role in DCM. Real-time polymerase chain reaction and in situ hybridization assays revealed that CFIRL was primarily localized in the nucleus of cardiac fibroblasts and robustly increased in failing hearts.

However, the function of the extended N-terminal region of SPIN1 remains unclear. Here, we demonstrated that SPIN1 can form phase-separated and liquid-like condensates both in vitro and in vivo through its N-terminal intrinsically disordered region (IDR).
