Postmenopausal osteoporosis, primarily driven by estrogen deficiency, is predominantly mediated through estrogen receptors such as ERα. However, the underlying mechanisms necessitate further investigation. In this study, we established an ERα-deficient model in rBMSCs to elucidate the role of ERα in osteogenic differentiation and miRNA expression profiles.

Aortic dissection (AD), a life-threatening cardiovascular emergency, is characterized by the separation of the aorta's inner and middle layers due to a tear in the intima. It is classified as Stanford type A or B based on the tear's location and extent. Symptoms vary but commonly include severe pain in the chest, back, or abdomen, along with atypical presentations such as shock, heart failure, or syncope.

Objective: Comparative analysis of two method for determining fat and analysis of fatty acid content in tea samples.
Methods: The content of freefatand total fat in tea was determined by Soxhlet extraction method and acid hydrolysis method, and the content of fatty acids were determined by gas chromatography. The composition and content of fatty acids in 21 tea samples from 5 regions were analyzed.
Prudent wound-healing strategies hold great potential in expediting tissue renovation and regeneration. Despite the widespread adoption of hydrogels as preferred carriers for wound healing patches, achieving optimal mechanical compatibility and superior wound performance remains a formidable challenge. Consequently, meticulous attention must be given to the formulation of hydrogel structure and materials design to overcome these hurdles.

Various researches demonstrated that transcription factors (TFs) played a crucial role in the progression and prognosis of cancer. However, few studies indicated that TFs were independent biomarkers for the prognosis of thyroid papillary carcinoma (TPC). Our aim was to establish and validate a novel TF signature for the prediction of TPC patients' recurrence-free survival (RFS) from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database to improve the prediction of survival in TPC patients.

There are many mechanisms of drug-induced hepatocyte injury, among which endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-induced cell injury plays an important role. However, little is known about whether schisandra chinensis can inhibit rifampicin (RFP)-induced hepatocyte injury by affecting ER stress.

Methods: The medical records of BCWG patients admitted to Children's Hospital of Jiangxi Province in China between January 2015 and January 2017 were reviewed in this retrospective study.
Results: Ultimately, 318 patients were diagnosed with BCWG.
In 2016, the order Mononegavirales was emended through the addition of two new families (Mymonaviridae and Sunviridae), the elevation of the paramyxoviral subfamily Pneumovirinae to family status (Pneumoviridae), the addition of five free-floating genera (Anphevirus, Arlivirus, Chengtivirus, Crustavirus, and Wastrivirus), and several other changes at the genus and species levels. This article presents the updated taxonomy of the order Mononegavirales as now accepted by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV).

In this study, we report MV-Edm is able to trigger apoptosis pathways in infected tumor cells and elucidate the roles of cellular apoptosis in the whole oncolytic process. We also show that activated caspase 3, a key executioner of apoptosis, plays key roles in the oncolytic virotherapy.
