Hydrogen peroxide (HO) is extensively used in water treatment and food preservation for its pathogen-killing efficacy. Excessive HO intake, however, can lead to poisoning with symptoms such as abdominal pain and breathing difficulties. Additionally, small amounts of HO may be generated during food preservation, necessitating careful control to meet safety regulations.

TPC (Total Phenolic content) and TFC (Total Flavonoid content) increased rapidly from 0 h to 72 h, followed by a slight decrease in TPC and a significant decrease in TFC. Fermentation could significantly increase the antioxidant activity and α-amylase/α-glucosidase enzyme inhibitory activity of Rubus chingii Hu.

In the study, low glycemic index (GI) dysphagia foods were designed with adding dietary fiber (DF) and anthocyanins (AS), and their in vitro enzymatic digestion and predicted GI values were investigated by first-order kinetic model and slope log model. Results showed that all samples belonged to dysphagia foods at level 4 (pureed) in the International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) framework, and exhibited shear thinning behavior.

However, compared to photovoltaic devices, the reduced size causes the compromised efficiencies. Here, we present a highly efficient nanoelectrode based on bimetallic zinc and gold porphyrin (ZnAuPN).

Herein, a triple signal amplifying platform integrating the liposome enrichment, the hybridization chain reaction (HCR) circuit, and the image analysis method was constructed to enhance the visual readout of PTS for the sensitive detection of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), an important biomarker of food spoilage. In the presence of ATP, the HCR amplifier was firstly initiated on the surface of magnetic beads (MBs), inducing a large number of glucose oxidase (GOD) imbedded liposomes to be attached.

Populations shaped by environmental factors and human intervention play important roles in the formation of genetic structure. In this study, population structures and spatiotemporal dynamics were investigated based on large-scale whole genomic sequences of rice-infecting around the world.

A systematic review of the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library databases was conducted from inception to 30 December 2023. Studies that presented only laboratory results or used non-representative sampling methods were excluded.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLithography is critical in micro- and nanofabrication processes, enabling the development of integrated circuits, semiconductor devices, and various advanced electronic and photonic systems. However, there are challenges related to sustainability, efficiency, and yield, as well as compatibility with transient electronics. This work introduces a sustainable lithography paradigm employing mechanically peelable resists compatible with existing cleanroom processes.

However, because of rapid renal clearance, it is a challenge to tailor their biofate and improve their disease-targeting ability in vivo. Herein, we report an efficient strategy to tailor their organotropic actions by rationally designing AuNC assemblies.

However, traditional radiography is a static assessment and cannot achieve long-term dynamic functional monitoring. Plantar pressure signals have demonstrated potential applications in the diagnosis and rehabilitation monitoring of KOA.

Coordination structure and group modifications of single-atom catalysts are essential for regulating superficial electronic structures and reaction activities. Epoxy group-modified single-atom Co-N-C configuration demonstrates exceptional catalytic performance for hydrogen peroxide production. Through the manipulation of the coordination structure of Co-N-C and the doped epoxy groups, we elucidate the origin of catalytic activity in epoxygroup-modified Co-N-C configurations.

The SrRuO films were grown on SrTiO using a lattice matching strategy. Scanning electrochemical microscopy imaged local oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance, exploring the relationship between micro-area activity and the termination layer. Combined with traditional electrochemical methods and DFT calculations, the OER activity was correlated with the electronic structure.

In the past few years, few studies have focused on the effects of different slaughter methods on the postmortem effects of tilapia, especially the cold storage of tilapia after slaughter. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different slaughter methods on the biochemical characteristics and quality changes of tilapia during cold storage.

The brain and muscle arnt-like 1 (BMAL1), as a crucial clock gene, is associated with the expression level of upstream factor hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α in glycolysis, which may affect the occurrence of inflammatory reactions in COPD. However, the moderation effect of Qibai Pingfei Capsule (QBPF) capsule is still unknown on BMAL1 and HIF-1α/glycolytic pathway.
