Background: Pathogenic degeneration of cartilage and the generation of fibrotic cartilage are crucial characteristics linked to the progression of osteoarthritis (OA). The current research aims to explore the potential function of the miR-137/BMP7 pathway in regulating the fibrogenic transition of chondrocytes associated with OA, as well as assess the therapeutic potential of andrographolide.
Methods: Samples of cartilage from the knees of patients with OA and individuals without OA were gathered to investigate the expression patterns of miR-137, BMP7, and markers associated with fibrosis.

To investigate the diagnostic value of hepcidin for sepsis diagnosis. The relevant literature on hepcidin for sepsis diagnosis published up to October 20, 2023, was systematically searched in the Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and China Knowledge Network databases. Two researchers screened the literature and extracted relevant data according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) and the SDF-1/CXCR4 axis are essential factors of chondrocyte apoptosis and ECM degeneration. However, very few studies have investigated the correlation between miRNAs and the SDF-1/CXCR4 axis in osteoarthritis so far.

Mice vaccinated with DNA-IL-15(+) developed a robust humoral response; Brucella-specific antibodies exhibited a dominance of immunoglobulin G2a (IgG2a) over IgG1. Splenocytes from DNA-IL-15(+)-vaccinated mice induced significantly higher levels of IFN-gamma (P<0.

The IL-12 adjuvant system was used for immunization in combination with the combined DNA vaccine (DNA-IL-12(+)). Mice immunized with DNA-IL-12(+) had significantly reduced CFU counts for M.

Immunization of mice with the combined DNA vaccine offered high protection against Brucella abortus (B. abortus) infection.

Immune response and protective efficacy for the combination of four tuberculosis DNA vaccines were evaluated in this study. We obtained 1: 200 antibody titers against Ag85B 21d after mice were vaccinated for the first time by four recombinant eukaryotic expression vectors containing coding sequences for Ag85B, MPT-64, MPT-63 and ESAT-6. The titers of Ag85B were elevated to 1: 102400 after the second injection and decreased to 1: 12800 after the third injection.
