Porphyra haitanensis polysaccharide-chitosan (PHP-CS) films were prepared by combining PHP and CS used the casting method with CaCl; the structure, and physical and chemical properties of the film were studied by rheometry, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), light transmittance, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and other means. The results indicated that the tensile strength of the PHP-CS film after formation was 5.63 ± 0.

Largely limited by the volume of electrolyte used, lean electrolyte conditions (electrolyte/sulfur mass ratio <3) present enormous challenges that have led to very poor specific capacity and rate performance. Previous studies have identified that the high concentration of polysulfide is responsible for the poor discharge voltage.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPushing intercalation-type cathode materials to their theoretical capacity often suffers from fragile Li-deficient frameworks and severe lattice strain, leading to mechanical failure issues within the crystal structure and fast capacity fading. This is particularly pronounced in layered oxide cathodes because the intrinsic nature of their structures is susceptible to structural degradation with excessive Li extraction, which remains unsolved yet despite attempts involving elemental doping and surface coating strategies. Herein, a mechanochemical strengthening strategy is developed through a gradient disordering structure to address these challenges and push the LiCoO (LCO) layered cathode approaching the capacity limit (256 mAh g, up to 93% of Li utilization).

However, the low methane conversion and aromatics selectivity and weak durability restrain the realistic application for industry. Here, a mechanism for enhancing catalysis activity on methane activation and carbon-carbon bond coupling has been found to promote conversion and selectivity simultaneously by adding platinum-bismuth alloy cluster to form a trimetallic catalyst on zeolite (Pt-Bi/Mo/ZSM-5).

However, the current commercial VOC detectors suffer from cross-sensitivity and low reproducibility. In this work, we present species-selective detection for VOCs using an electrochemical cell based on ionic liquid (IL) electrolytes with features of high selectivity and reliability.

The increasing frequency of floods is causing an increasing impact on urban communities. To identify the key influencing factors of functional loss in Chinese urban communities under floods, this paper explored the influencing factors and factor combinations through a social network analysis approach using the 265 cases of urban communities in China affected by floods collected from 2017-2021 as research data. The key influencing factors and factor combinations were identified comprehensively using multiple indicator analyses such as core-periphery structure, node centrality, and factor pairing.

Conversely, its exploration in other research fields, particularly organic synthesis, remains unknown. Here, we demonstrate that 3PTZ-POP synthesized via cross-linking of 3PTZ is capable of harvesting visible-light photons and selectively converting solar energy to chemical energy.

In particular, the bimetallic Ce-Ni-MOF with the largest specific surface area and catalytic sites was synthesized when the molar ratio of Ce to Ni was 3:7. Bimetallic Ce-Ni-MOF is added to the traditional conductive material of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) to play their synergistic effect, improve the conductivity, specific surface area, and catalytic site of the MWCNTs.

The PLGA microspheres were fabricated using a double-emulsion method. The results of pore structure analysis accessed with nano-CT were compared with those acquired by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM).

Although radiotherapy is widely used in glioma treatment, the radioresistance of glioma cells limits the success of the glioma treatment. The lack of effective targets and signaling pathways to reverse glioma radioresistance is the critical obstacle in successful treatment.
