Background: The healing and remodeling process of tendon grafts after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (ACLR) has received significant attention. This study aims to identify preoperative factors associated with postoperative signal intensity of the ACL graft after primary ACLR.
Methods: A total of 90 patients underwent primary ACLR using hamstring tendon autografts by the same senior surgeon between January 2013 and December 2020 were included.
The design of high-performance trifunctional oxygen reduction/oxygen evolution/hydrogen evolution reactions (ORR/OER/HER) electrocatalysts has become the current research focus. In this work, we report a series of single-atom catalysts formed by nine kinds of transition metal (Fe, Co, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, and Pt) anchored in g-CN (namely TM@g-CN) as promising trifunctional electrocatalysts to replace precious metal catalysts by density functional theory methods. All TM@g-CN have good thermodynamic and electrochemical stability.

Materials And Methods: A total of 165 patients with ACL injury and 157 ACL-intact patients were included in this study. Two different measuring protocols of ATS were performed on sagittal MR images, including the modified protocol using the longitudinal tibial axis (axis protocol) and the established protocol using a line perpendicular to the tibial plateau (plateau protocol).
Diet and breed directly affect ruminant carcass traits and meat quality. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate the effect of silage diet and breed on growth performance, carcass traits, and meat quality of lambs. A total of 28, 3-4 months old female lambs consisting of 14 Dorper lambs (DP) and 14 Thin-tailed Han lambs (TH) were allocated in a 2 × 2 factorial design and offered two experimental diets (sweet sorghum silage: SS; whole-crop corn silage: WS) for 90 days.

In the present case, a maxillary mass was presented and a low-grade malignant tumor was suspected according to the CT scans, preoperative FNA, and clinical conditions. Other carcinomas, including acinar cell carcinoma (ACC), basaloid cell carcinoma (BCC), SCC, mucoepidermoid carcinoma, and epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma (EMC), were also considered before surgery.

Methods: Successive brain-dead donors and liver recipients in our hospital from March 2017 to May 2018 were retrospectively recruited. All donors underwent PSWE examination, abdominal ultrasonography, and sonographic grading (grade 0 to grade 5).

Introduction: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant cancers, while the molecular mechanism is not clear. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a class of naturally occurring endogenous noncoding RNAs that prove to play important roles in the occurrence, development and prognosis of HCC. In this study, we focused on an abnormally expressed circular RNA-circPCNX in HCC and study the function of circPCNX and Pecanex (PCNX) in HCC.

Accumulating studies have revealed that microRNAs (miRNAs) play a critical role in the development and progression of HCC. Through microarray-based gene expression profiling of HCC, miR-370, and BEX2 were identified in HCC.

This study was designed to evaluate the short-term and long-term potential influence of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in CYP450 genes of liver transplant (LT) recipients as well as the donors on individual pharmacological effects of Tac and to guide individualized-medication from the perspective of pharmacogenomics. Twenty-one SNPs of the CYP450 gene were genotyped for both recipients and donors in 373 LT patients receiving Tac-based immunosuppressants.

Antagonists of EGFR can suppress the growth of several malignancies; however, their therapeutic effect in adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is controversial.
Results: The increased proliferation of two ACC cell lines induced by EGF-treatment was reversed by nimotuzumab.

Purpose: Hypoxia has been found to play an important role in regulating the biological characteristics of cancer stem cells (cCSCs). In this study, we tested whether a tumor hypoxic niche serves to the chemotherapeutic resistance of colon cCSCs.
Methods: Each of 23 fresh samples of human colon adenocarcinoma was transplanted into nude mice.

Objective: This study was to explore whether resveratrol could protect human bronchial epithelial cells (HBE) and human fetal lung fibroblasts (MRC5) from radiation injury and to investigate its potential HBE and MRC5 were divided into four groups: Group 1 (Vehicle), control group, only mechanism.
Methods: treated with vehicle; Group 2 (resveratrol, Res), the resveratrol group, treated with 5 micromol/L resveratrol; Group 3 (RT+Vehicle), the X-ray irradiation group, only subjected to irradiation of 20 Gy X-ray; Group 4 (RT+Res), the combination therapy group, 2 hours before X-ray treatment (20 Gy, 8. 33 Gy/min for 144 s), 5 micromol/L resveratrol was added to the cells.
Radiation pneumonitis (RP) is a serious complication of radiation therapy for thoracic tumors. Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) and its receptors LPA⅓ were reported to participate in the processes of inflammation. We tested the hypothesis that LPA and its receptors LPA⅓, take part in the pathogenesis of RP.
