Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is characterized by the accumulation of fat in the liver, excluding excessive alcohol consumption and other known causes of liver injury. Animal models are often used to explore different pathogenic mechanisms and therapeutic targets of MASLD. The aim of this study is to apply an artificial intelligence (AI) system based on second-harmonic generation (SHG)/two-photon-excited fluorescence (TPEF) technology to automatically assess the dynamic patterns of hepatic steatosis in MASLD mouse models.

The amino acid sequences of KIF23 and PRC1 proteins were analyzed by bioinformatics method, their three-dimensional structures were predicted, and their interactions with polysaccharides were studied by molecular docking technology. The localization and expression patterns of KIF23 and PRC1 in cells were studied by cell biology techniques.

The efficacy and safety of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy is still inconclusive in solid tumor treatment. Recently, nanotechnology has emerged as a potent strategy to reshape CAR-T cell therapy with promising outcomes. This review aims to discuss the significant potential of nano-engineered CAR-T cell therapy in addressing existing challenges, including CAR-T cell engineering evolution, tumor microenvironment (TME) modulation, and precise CAR-T cell therapy (precise targeting, monitoring, and activation), under the main consideration of clinical translation.

Polyimide-based triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) capable of energy harvesting in harsh environments (high temperature and high humidity) have been extensively studied. However, most polyimide-based TENGs have the disadvantages of poor air permeability and poor softness. In this study, a core-shell yarn with good air permeability, softness, and high electric output performance was successfully prepared by conjugate electrospinning.

There has been limited exploration into the mechanisms underlying academic achievements among nursing master's students. This study investigated the relationship between ethical leadership and academic achievements, focusing on how the teacher-student relationship and growth mindset mediate this relationship.

Aim: To develop and validate a predictive model, establishing a visual web tool for early diagnosis of CD in patients presenting with perianal fistula.
Methods: This retrospective, multicentre validation study involved patients diagnosed with either perianal fistulising CD or cryptoglandular fistula who underwent initial perianal fistula surgery subsequent to rectal MRI at three Chinese centres from September 2016 to December 2020.
Background: We aimed to evaluate the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 and investigate the trajectories of protective immunity and associated risk factors in eastern China between March and November 2023 after the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
Materials And Methods: We conducted repeated population-based seroepidemiologic studies using a multistage, population-stratified, cluster random sampling method. We measured neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) using a fluorescence immunoassay.
Background: Studies on lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in women, especially in relation to different modes of delivery, are limited. The relationship between the emergence of LUTS and the decline of pelvic muscle function after childbirth remains uncertain.
Study Design: This observational study was carried out at the Peking University First Hospital over a time span of 2019-2022.
Neuroinflammation, especially microglia/macrophage activation, is a hallmark of spinal cord injury (SCI). Jisuikang (JSK) is a clinical experiential Chinese herbal formula for SCI therapy containing Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Danggui (Angelica sinensis Radix), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Dilong (earthworm, Pheretima aspergillum), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Taoren (Persicae Seman) and Honghua (Carthami Flos). Eighteen active ingredients in 6 herbs of JSK were found to be correlated with inflammation, spinal injury and other diseases.

Methods And Results: We enrolled 163 participants with CSVD (114 cerebral amyloid angiopathy and 49 hypertensive hemorrhage), and 96 cognitively unimpaired elders and 40 participants with Alzheimer's disease as controls.
Background: This study aimed to explore the correlation between primary tumors (PT) and paired metastatic lymph nodes (LN) and to develop a predictive model to provide evidence for forecasting patient prognoses.
Methods: We obtained single-cell and bulk transcriptome data from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. Furthermore, mRNA transcriptomic data, encompassing 112 normal tissues and 1066 breast cancer samples, along with survival, clinical, and mutation information for breast cancer patients, were acquired from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA).
5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is one of the most promising biomass-based chemicals that is used to produce many kinds of important compounds. Especially, the selective conversion of HMF to 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furancarboxylic acid (HMFCA), an important chemical feedstock, has high industrial significance but is technically challenging. In this study, we present a high-performance photocatalyst for selective oxidation of HMF to HMFCA.

Here, we investigate TNBC tumor architecture including its microenvironment using spatial transcriptomics on a series of 92 patients. We perform an in-depth characterization of tumor and stroma organization and composition using an integrative approach combining histomorphological and spatial transcriptomics.

In this article, the design issue for an iterative learning controller is investigated for the cooperative-antagonistic system under the scheduling effects of random access protocol (RAP). In order to reflect the heterogeneous characteristic of the underlying system, the dynamics of each node in the cooperative-antagonistic system are described by a two-time-scale system. For the purpose of avoiding data collisions in signal transmissions, the so-called RAP is introduced to schedule the data exchanges among nodes, where the transmission opportunities of nodes are modeled by a sequence of random variables with certain transition probabilities.
