With a nontrivial topological band and intrinsic magnetic order, two-dimensional (2D) MnBiTe-family materials exhibit great promise for exploring exotic quantum phenomena and potential applications. However, the synthesis of 2D MnBiTe-family materials via chemical vapor deposition (CVD), which is essential for advancing device applications, still remains a significant challenge since it is difficult to control the reactions among multi-precursors and form pure phases. Here, we report a controllable synthesis of high-quality magnetic topological insulator MnBiTe and MnBiTe multilayers via an evaporation-rate-controlled CVD approach.

2D hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) have great prospects in new-generation photovoltaic and luminescence applications. The complex interaction between exciton and lattice motions plays an important role in determining the exciton properties of 2D HOIPs. However, the exploration of the regulation mechanism of phonons and the exciton-phonon (ex-ph) interaction is still very limited, especially for Dion-Jacobson (DJ) type 2D HOIPs.

Precious metals are valuable materials for the chemical industry, but they are scarce and pose a risk of supply disruption. Recycling precious metals from waste is a promising strategy, here we tactfully utilize light irradiation as an environmental-friendly and energy-saving adjunctive strategy to promote the reduction of precious metal ions, thereby improving the adsorption capacity and kinetics. A newly light-sensitive covalent organic framework (PP-COF) was synthesized to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of this light auxiliary strategy.

Singlet fission (SF) is a triplet generation mechanism capable of turning a singlet exciton into two triplet excitons. It has the potential to enhance the power conversion efficiency of single-junction solar cells. Perylene diimides (PDIs) are a class of dye molecules with photovoltaic properties and are beginning to receive more and more attention due to their potential for SF.

Exciton transport in two-dimensional Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite plays a pivotal role for their optoelectronic performance. However, a clear photophysical picture of exciton transport is still lacking due to strong confinement effects and intricate exciton-phonon interactions in an organic-inorganic hybrid lattice. Herein, we present a systematical study on exciton transport in (BA)(MA)PbI Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites using time-resolved photoluminescence microscopy.

Out-of-plane (OP) exciton-based emitters in two-dimensional semiconductor materials are attractive candidates for novel photonic applications, such as radially polarized sources, integrated photonic chips, and quantum communications. However, their low quantum efficiency resulting from forbidden transitions limits their practicality. In this work, we achieve a giant enhancement of up to 34000 for OP exciton emission in indium selenide (InSe) via a designed Ag nanocube-over-Au film plasmonic nanocavity.

This paper presents a low power, energy-efficient precision CMOS temperature sensor. The front-end circuit is based on bipolar junction transistors, and employs a pre-bias circuit and bipolar core. To reduce measurement errors arising from current ratio mismatch, a new dynamic element-matching mode is proposed, which dynamically matches all current sources in the front-end circuit.
