A rapid, low-cost and reliable interfacial plasmonic nanoarray is presented as surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) sensing platform for preliminary quantification and identification of flavonoids. Here, CTAB-modified Au colloidal nanoparticles self-assemble at the cyclohexane/acetone-water interface to form a uniform interfacial plasmonic nanoarray. The target hydrophobic analytes including organic dye methyl red and water-insoluble flavonoids, are effectively captured at the air-water interface and enter the "hot spots" between nanoparticles during the evaporation of the oil phase, which contributes to sensitive and reproducible SERS signals.

This study aimed to determine whether and which MRI-based structural phenotype of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is associated with short-term structural progression and subsequent total knee replacement (TKR).

The commonest type of eukaryotic RNA modification, N6-methyladenosine (m6A), has drawn increased scrutiny in the context of pathological functioning as well as relevance in determination of RNA stability, splicing, transportation, localization, and translation efficiency. The m6A modification plays an important role in several types of arthritis, especially osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This study employed a "fiber-particle core-shell nanostructure model" to combine sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMCNa) and soy protein isolate (SPI) or SPI hydrolysate (SPIH), and freeze-dried to form aerogel template, which was then dipped into oil to induce oleogels. The results showed that adding SPIH significantly improved the physicochemical properties of oleogels.

Methods: Among 255 knee OA patients, IPFP signal intensity alteration represented by four measurement parameters [standard deviation of IPFP signal intensity (IPFP sDev), upper quartile value of IPFP high signal intensity region (IPFP UQ (H)), ratio of IPFP high signal intensity region volume to whole IPFP volume (IPFP percentage (H)), and clustering factor of IPFP high signal intensity (IPFP clustering factor (H))] was measured quantitatively at baseline and two-year follow-up using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Effusion-synovitis of the suprapatellar pouch and other cavities were measured both quantitatively and semi-quantitatively as effusion-synovitis volume and effusion-synovitis score at baseline and two-year follow-up using MRI.
Combining steady-state photoluminescence and transient absorption (TA) spectroscopy, we have investigated the photoinduced charge transfer dynamics between lead-free Mn-doped CsNaInBiCl double perovskite (DP) nanocrystals (NCs) and conjugated poly[2-methoxy-5-(3',7'-dimethyloctyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MDMO-PPV). Upon ultraviolet-A excitation, the photoinduced absorption feature of DP NCs/MDMO-PPV nanocomposites disappeared, and the stimulated emission weakened in the TA spectrum. This was due to charge transfer from the MDMO-PPV polymers to DP NCs.

Herein, a MOF-derived octahedral NiCu nanoporous carbon composite with abundant N-doped (N/NiCu@C) was synthesized, which was exploited as electrochemical sensor for neonicotinoid determination. Integrating the synergistic effect of NiCu nanoalloy and the hierarchical porous carbon structure, the N/NiCu@C/GCE significantly promoted the diffusion between electrolyte and active site.
