Adipogenesis is a complex and precisely orchestrated process mediated by a network of adipogenic regulatory factors. Several studies have highlighted the relevance of lncRNAs in adipocyte differentiation, but the precise molecular mechanism has largely remained elusive. In the present study, we performed Ribo-Zero RNA-Seq to investigate both the poly(A)+and poly(A)-lncRNAs of in vitro cultured bovine preadipocytes and differentiated adipocytes.

Objective: To observe the characteristic morphological changes of corneal endothelial dysfunction induced by phacoemulcification in rhesus monkey models under confocal microscope.
Methods: The corneal endothelial dysfunction models were established by phacoemulcification power on the central corneal of 7 to 9 mm diameter in the right eyes of 4 rhesus monkeys (the modeling group). The left eyes of 4 rhesus monkeys were set as blank control group.
We studied the community of soil microorganisms, enzyme activity and soil nutrients under 11-, 20-, 34-and 47-year-old Larix kaempferi plantations in mountainous region of eastern Liaoning Province to discuss the soil biological properties of L. kaempferi plantations of different stand ages and their relationships with soil nutrients. The results showed that the indexes reflecting soil micro-organisms, enzyme activity and soil nutrients of L.

Currently, there are numerous attempts to utilize tree shrews as models for hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
Objectives: This study aimed to construct a liver microRNA (miRNA) data of the tree shrew.
Context: In cases of damaged corneal endothelium cells (CECs) of the eye, transplantation of cultured vascular endothelial cells (VECs) may be a viable method to restore transparency.
Aims: To evaluate the viability of replacing damaged primate CECs with cultured allogeneic VECs.
Subjects And Methods: Rhesus monkey VECs (RMVECs) were cultured and proliferating cells were labeled with bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) in vitro.
Purpose: Trans-sutural distraction osteogenesis (TSDO) is an alternative method for the early treatment of midfacial hypoplasia in growing patients with cleft lip and palate (CLP). The purpose of this study was to analyze three-dimensional (3D) midfacial skeletal changes after TSDO and to explore the mechanism in this process.
Material And Methods: All patients with nonsyndromic CLP who underwent bone-borne TSDO for midfacial hypoplasia from 2005 to 2014 were reviewed in this retrospective study.
Nitrogen (N) starvation and excess have distinct effects on N uptake and metabolism in poplars, but the global transcriptomic changes underlying morphological and physiological acclimation to altered N availability are unknown. We found that N starvation stimulated the fine root length and surface area by 54 and 49%, respectively, decreased the net photosynthetic rate by 15% and reduced the concentrations of NH4+, NO3(-) and total free amino acids in the roots and leaves of Populus simonii Carr. in comparison with normal N supply, whereas N excess had the opposite effect in most cases.

Producing flocs with desired properties is significant for contaminants removal in water treatment works. In this study, an inorganic composite coagulant, polyaluminum ferric chloride (PAFC), was prepared and used in surface water treatment, and the influence of Al/Fe molar ratio and basicity (B) on floc properties was investigated. The contribution of metal species analysis showed a competition relationship between Al and Fe in the pre-hydrolysis, while the monomeric contents decreased with the increase of B value.

Innate and adaptive immune responses work together to restrain or eliminate hepatitis B virus in the liver. Compromised or failed adaptive immune response results in persistent virus replication and spread.

Based on the bone-borne trans-sutural distraction osteogenesis, novel improvements to the approach were made to treat midfacial hypoplasia, and the clinical outcomes and skeletal changes were analyzed.
Methods: Seventy consecutive growing cleft lip and palate patients with midfacial hypoplasia were treated with trans-sutural distraction osteogenesis.
New simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were developed in the Japanese larch (Larix kaempferi) using unigene sequences for further genetic diversity studies and the genetic improvement of breeding programs. One thousand two handred and thirty five (1235) primer pairs were tested and 165 successfully identified in L. kaempferi.

They are routinely propagated via rooted stem cuttings. Despite the importance of rooting, little is known about the regulation of adventitious root development in larch hybrids.

The family of mammalian sirtuin regulates many biological functions, such as life span extension and energy metabolism. SIRT2, a most abundant sirtuin in adipocytes, acts as a crucial regulator of adipogenic differentiation and plays a key role in controlling adipose tissue function and mass.

The polysaccharides were extracted under ultrasonic-assisted condition, and then partly hydrolyzed with trifluoroacetic acid. Monosaccharides and oligosaccharides in the hydrolyzates were subjected to pre-column derivatization with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone and HPLC analysis, which will generate unique fingerprint information related to chemical composition and structure of polysaccharides.

Methods: Cultured VEC to proliferate in vitro.Rhesus monkeys were randomly divided into two groups: Experimental group (6) and control group (6) according to a random number table.
Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a common microvascular complication of diabetes. We used a new DN model in tree shrews to validate the use of bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BM-MSC) transplantation to treat DN. The DN tree shrew model was established by a high-sugar and high-fat diet and four injections of streptozotocin.

Superparamagnetic iron oxide/4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) double-labeled BMSCs were transplanted into the pancreatic artery of macaques to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The treatment efficiency of BMSCs was also evaluated.

As the master regulator of adipogenesis, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG) is required for the accumulation of adipose tissue and hence contributes to obesity. A previous study showed that the substitution of +20A>G in PPARG changed the 7(th) amino acid from Asp to Gly, creating a mutant referred to as PPARG Asp7Gly. In this study, association analysis indicated that PPARG Asp7Gly was associated with lower body height, body weight and heart girth in cattle (P<0.
