This study employed the methods of serum chemistry, in vivo drug distribution analysis, and network pharmacology to investigate the potential therapeutic effects of Bufei Pills on respiratory disorders and decipher the underlying mechanisms. For the in vivo distribution study, rats were administrated with Bufei Pills, and the absorbed components were analyzed by HPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS. The results showed that 56 components were present in the rat serum, including neocyclomorusin, asterinin A, neoisostegane, goimisin R, and frehmaglutoside H.

Article Synopsis
  • * Behavioral tests indicated that the formula had therapeutic effects on perimenopausal depression, showing promise as a treatment option for this condition.
  • * Network pharmacology analysis identified 53 core targets, including MAPK1 and AKT1, and indicated that the formula may work through multiple signaling pathways related to inflammation, neuroplasticity, and estrogen regulation.

Liver fibrosis is a pathological process of abnormal tissue proliferation in the liver caused by various pathogenic factors, which will further develop into cirrhosis or even hepatocellular carcinoma if liver injury is not intervened in time. As a diffuse progressive liver disease, its clinical manifestations are mostly excessive deposition of collagen-rich extracellular matrix resulting in scar formation due to liver injury. Hepatic fibrosis can be caused by hepatitis B and C, fatty liver, alcohol, and rare diseases such as hemochromatosis.

Inverted-structure perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) applying NiO as the hole transport layer (HTL) have attracted increasing attention. It is still a challenge to optimize the contact between NiO and the perovskite layer and to suppress energy loss at the interface. In this study, interface engineering was carried out by modifying the NiO layer with different polymers such as polystyrene, poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), or poly[bis(4-phenyl)(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)amine] (PTAA) to improve the surface contact between NiO and the perovskite, to decrease the defect states, and to make the energy level alignment better.

The fabrication of high-quality film with large grains oriented along the direction of film thickness is important for 2D Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite-based solar cells (PVSCs). High-quality 2D BA MA Pb I (BA =butylammonium, MA =methylammonium, n=5) perovskite films were fabricated with a grain size of over 1 μm and preferential orientation growth by introducing a second spacer cation (SSC ) into the precursor solution. Dynamic light scattering showed that SSC addition can induce aggregation in the precursor solution.

Four novel salicyladehyde salicyhydrazone derivatives and their corresponding europium (Eu(3+)) complexes were synthesized and characterized. The formulas of the complexes were [EuL(a-d)(NO3)2](NO3) · H2O. The investigatoin of fluoresence properties of the Eu(3+) complexes showed that the salicyladehyde salicyhydrazone derivatives were efficient sensitizers for the fluoresence of Eu(3+) ions.
