Consensus Clustering Analysis Identifies Ferroptosis-Related Patient Clusters and Predictive Signature Construction Based on Ferroptosis-Related Genes in Ischemic Cardiomyopathy.

Background: Ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) significantly contributes to global disease burden, while the role of ferroptosis in ICM remains underexplored.

Methods: We identified differentially expressed ferroptosis-related genes (DEFRGs) by analyzing the GSE57338 dataset and cross-referencing with FerrDb. Consensus clustering was then used to identify ferroptosis-associated clusters within the ICM samples.

Risk of cardiac rupture among elderly patients with diabetes presenting with first acute myocardial infarction.

Objective: We aimed to analyze the risk of cardiac rupture (CR) in aged diabetic patients with acute ST-segment elevated myocardial infarction (STEMI) who were followed up for one month, and analyze its independent risk factors.

Methods: A total of 3063 aged patients with first onset STEMI admitted to Beijing Anzhen Hospital from January 2001 to December 2020 were retrospectively included. There were 2020 patients without diabetes mellitus (DM) and 1043 patients with DM.

Feasibility and safety of Post-Urgent PCI Same-DaY discharge (PUSDY Trial) in China: protocol for a multicentre randomised controlled trial.

Introduction: In the Chinese healthcare system, where there is overcrowding in hospitals, especially in tertiary care centres, adoption of same-day discharge (SDD) post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) could potentially lead to significant savings of healthcare resources and costs. This study is a non-inferiority trial examining whether post-PCI SDD is feasible in China. The primary hypothesis is that patient outcomes in post-urgent PCI SDD patients are non-inferior to regular discharge patients.

Cardiac involvement in Wilson's disease: a retrospective cohort study.

Background And Objectives: Wilson's disease (WD) is an inherited disorder with perturbations in copper metabolism and can cause multiorgan damage. This study aims to explore cardiac findings mainly based on electrocardiography (ECG) in WD patients.

Methods: We retrospectively enrolled adult patients who were diagnosed with WD between January 2011 and December 2020.

Endcaps for stabilizing short DNA duplexes.

The syntheses of endcaps for covalently linking the 3' and 5' hydroxyl groups of blunt end double-stranded DNA are described. Endcap diols were converted into DMTr protected phosphoramidites and incorporated between nucleotides 4 and 5 of a self-complementary octamer. The stabilizing effect of the endcaps on duplex DNA was determined by Tm experiments on the self-complementary octamer.
