Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of radiomics analysis with R2* maps in predicting early recurrence (ER) in single hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following partial hepatectomy.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis involving 202 patients with surgically confirmed single HCC having undergone preoperative magnetic resonance imaging between 2018 and 2021 at two different institutions. 126 patients from Institution 1 were assigned to the training set, and 76 patients from Institution 2 were assigned to the validation set.

Mycotoxins produced by fungi can contaminate various foods and pose significant health risks. Ensuring food safety demands rapid, highly sensitive analytical techniques. One-step Bioluminescent Enzyme Immunoassays (BLEIAs) employing nanobody-nanoluciferase fusion proteins have recently garnered attention for operational simplicity and heightened sensitivity.

Circular RNA dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (circDPP4) has been confirmed as a novel oncogene in prostate cancer (PCa). In this study, we aimed to explore the underlying mechanism of circDPP4 in PCa progression. Levels of circDPP4, microRNA (miR)-497-5p, glutamate dehydrogenase 1 (GLUD1), proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), BCL2 associated X, apoptosis regulator (Bax), E-cadherin and Ki67 were gauged by a quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), western blotting, or immunohistochemical method.

Objectives: To explore the value of T1 mapping on gadoxetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in preoperative predicting cytokeratin 19 (CK19) expression for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Methods: This retrospective study included 158 patients from two institutions with surgically resected treatment-native solitary HCC who underwent preoperative T1 mapping on gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI. Patients from institution I (n = 102) and institution II (n = 56) were assigned to training and test sets, respectively.

Exosomal circular RNA was found to mediate cancer chemoresistance. However, whether exosomal circRNA Scm-like with four malignant brain tumor domains 2 (circ-SFMBT2) was involved in the chemoresistance of prostate cancer (PCa) remains unclear. The docetaxel (DTX) resistance of PCa cells was analyzed by Cell Counting Kit 8 assay.

Hsa_circ_0054537 (circ_0054537) is a novel tumor-related circular RNA in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and we intended to ascertain its dysregulation and functions in RCC malignant progression, as well as the underlying mechanism via serving as competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA). In this research, using real-time quantitative PCR, we found circ_0054537 was upregulated in RCC tissues and cells, and distributed throughout the cytoplasm. Then, functional effects of circ_0054537 in RCC were detected using cell counting kit-8, transwell, flow cytometry and glycolysis stress test and adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) assays.
