Background: Acute lung injury (ALI) after liver transplantation (LT) may lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome, which is associated with adverse postoperative outcomes, such as prolonged hospital stay, high morbidity, and mortality. Therefore, it is vital to maintain hemodynamic stability and optimize fluid management. However, few studies have reported cardiac output-guided (CO-G) management in pediatric LT.

Amlodipine is a Ca channel blocker commonly used to cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and angina; however, its anticancer effects in lung cancer A549 cells remain unknown. In the present study, we explored the antitumor effects and molecular mechanisms underlying the action of amlodipine in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells and . We observed that amlodipine suppressed the proliferation of A549 lung cancer cells by arresting the tumor cell cycle.

Lansoprazole (Lpz) is an FDA-approved proton pump inhibitor (PPI) drug for the therapy of acid-related diseases. Aiming to explore the new application of old drugs, we recently investigated the antitumor effect of Lpz. We demonstrated that the PPI Lpz played a tumor suppressive role in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells.

Cancer cells secrete abundant exosomes, and the secretion can be promoted by an increase of intracellular Ca. Stromal interaction molecule 1 (STIM1) plays a key role in shaping Ca signals. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been reported to be potential therapeutic targets for many diseases, including breast cancer.
