Article Synopsis
  • - Rab11A plays a crucial role in tumor behaviors such as proliferation and metastasis, and its high expression in breast cancer (BRCA) is linked to worse patient survival outcomes and negative immune characteristics.
  • - The study analyzed RNA sequencing data from cancer databases and confirmed through various laboratory methods that Rab11A is significantly upregulated in BRCA, influencing the expression of estrogen receptors which affect tumor cell growth.
  • - In conclusion, targeting Rab11A could be an important factor in understanding breast cancer prognosis and immune response, as it regulates cell proliferation through interactions with estrogen receptor levels.

Paclitaxel is an effective chemotherapy drug for breast cancer (BC); however, drug resistance affects long-term clinical applications. In this study, we aimed to explore whether a natural compound, tetrahydrocurcumin (THC), could sensitize BC to albumin-bound paclitaxel (ab-PTX). The sensitization effect of THC to ab-PTX was evaluated in human BC cell lines, and chemosensitivity was measured using a xenograft BC tumor model.
