[The Value of sFLC and Serum Calcium in the Diagnosis and Prognosis of Multiple Myeloma Patients].

Objective: To investigate the value of serum free light chain (sFLC) and serum calcium ion in the diagnosis and prognosis of multiple myeloma (MM).

Methods: Forty patients with MM treated in Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2018 to January 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 40 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. The differences of sFLC-κ、sFLC-λ、sFLC-κ/λ, serum calcium ions, etc between the two groups were compared.

MiR-20a-5p functions as a potent tumor suppressor by targeting PPP6C in acute myeloid leukemia.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is as a highly aggressive and heterogeneous hematological malignancy. MiR-20a-5p has been reported to function as an oncogene or tumor suppressor in several tumors, but the clinical significance and regulatory mechanisms of miR-20a-5p in AML cells have not been fully understood. In this study, we found miR-20a-5p was significantly decreased in bone marrow from AML patients, compared with that in healthy controls.

NDRG2 and TLR7 as novel DNA methylation prognostic signatures for acute myelocytic leukemia.

Acute myelocytic leukemia (AML) is an aggressive malignant tumor and typically fatal without treatment. Identification and development of novel biomarkers could be beneficial for the diagnosis and prognosis of AML patients. Here, we aimed to identify the accurate DNA methylation prognostic signatures for AML patients.

Effects of Decitabine on the proliferation of K562 cells and the expression of DR4 gene.

Objective: To investigate the role of DR4 gene in the occurrence, development and prognosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), find a new regulatory gene of Decitabine for the treatment of AML, namely DR4 gene, and explore the molecular mechanism of AML in the treatment of AML.

Methods: The methylation level and the mRNA expression level of DR4 gene promoters of bone marrow mononuclear cells in 122 patients with newly diagnosed AML and 24 patients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA) were detected using Methylation specific PCR (MS-PCR) and Q-RT-PCR, respectively, and a correlation analysis of them was conducted. The effects of Decitabine on the proliferation of K562 cells were detected using CCK-8 assay.
