Background: The aim of this study was to verify the safety and efficacy of endoscopic resection (ER) for gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs).
Methods: Among a consecutive series of resections for gastric GISTs performed in a single center, the outcomes of patients who had ER were compared to standard surgical resection (SR).
Results: In the cohort, 329 consecutive primary localized gastric GISTs patients (, ER/SR = 251/78) were enrolled.
Purpose: Perioperative intravenous different doses of dexamethasone (DEX) can realize effective clinical outcomes in total joint arthroplasty (TJA). However, the effect of different DEX doses on readmission rates and postoperative complications remains unclear.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed patients who underwent primary TJA between December 2012 and October 2020.

Objectives: To investigate the efficacy and safety of prolonged azithromycin (PAZM) versus switching to doxycycline (SDXC) in the treatment of macrolide-unresponsive pneumonia (MUMPP) in children.
Methods: A total of 173 children with MUMPP who were hospitalized in Baoji Central Hospital, from January to December 2023 were selected as subjects. According to the choice of secondary antibiotic after 72 hours of initial macrolide therapy, they were divided into two groups: PAZM and SDXC.
Sulfite autoxidation in combination with the cobalt-based heterogeneous activators, has recently emerged as the efficient sulfate radical (SO) generation process for organic micropollutant abatement in the water and wastewater treatment, yet the sluggish >Co(II)/Co(III) redox cycling currently compromises the efficacy of radical generation and the potential applications. Herein, regarding that the reductive W(IV) species in WS can modulate the >Co(II)/Co(III) redox cycling in the advanced oxidation processes, confinement of cobalt with WS (Co-WS) is designed and characterized. The Co-WS/sulfite process achieves an ultrafast tetracycline (TC) abatement (~100 % abatement of TC within 1 min) under circumneutral conditions with lower dosage of sulfite and activator, outperforming the current cobalt-based heterogeneous counterparts.

A series of enantioenriched sulfones bearing remote stereogenic centers was achieved with good yields and high enantioselectivities with linear unsaturated sulfones and cyclic unsaturated sulfones. Methods: In the current study, community-based older adults, without known cardiovascular disease, underwent simultaneous cine cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, clinical examination, and serum sampling.
Purpose: The main objective of this study was to develop two-dimensional (2D) phase contrast (PC) methods to quantify the helicity and vorticity of blood flow in the aortic root.
Methods: This proof-of-concept study used four-dimensional (4D) flow cardiovascular MR (4D flow CMR) data of five healthy controls, five patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and five patients with aortic stenosis (AS). A PC through-plane generated by 4D flow data was treated as a 2D PC plane and compared with the original 4D flow.
