Preventing bacterial infection and accelerating wound closure are critical for wound healing. Herein, a novel multifunctional polyvinyl alcohol-polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVA-PVP) microneedle (MN) patch embedded with enzyme-like activity (CoFe)(S) (CFS) nanoparticles and metal ions (Co and Fe) was systematically synthesized for the management of bacteria-infected wounds. CFS regulated redox homeostasis and achieved bacterial eradication while concomitantly alleviating oxidative damage.

Background: CT-routine MRI fusion imaging has recently become available to evaluate spinal anatomy before surgery. Due to the 3-5 mm slice thickness and non-isotropic of routine MRI sequence, the CT-routine MRI fusion imaging is not good. The MRI multiple recalled gradient echo (MERGE) sequence is potentially useful in diagnosis of lumbar degeneration disease due to the better nerve roots visualization, 1 mm slice thickness and its isotropy.

The pre-research of medical device standards is of great significance for the enactment and amendment of standards. This study discusses four aspects and explores how to promote more scientific and reasonable pre-research. Based on the pre-research practice of medical device standards project, this study puts forward relevant work ideas and suggestions.

To analyse the imaging findings of papillary glioneuronal tumors (PGNTs), in order to improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis of this tumor. The clinical and imaging manifestations of 36 cases of PGNT confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively. A total of 17 males and 19 females, averaging 22.

Glioma is one of the most common malignancies of the central nervous system. The therapeutic effect has not been satisfactory despite advances in comprehensive treatment techniques. Our previous studies have found that triptolide inhibits glioma proliferation through the ROS/JNK pathway, but in-depth mechanisms need to be explored.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic debilitating disease characterized by inflammatory demyelination of the central nervous system. Grey matter (GM) lesions have been shown to be closely related to MS motor deficits and cognitive impairment. In this study, GM lesion-related genes for diagnosis and immune status in MS were investigated.

Our study focused on whether macrophages ferroptosis is associated with the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or not. We first identified macrophage module genes by weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) in RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) date from COPD, and then identified macrophage marker genes by comprehensive analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data from COPD macrophages. There were 126 macrophage marker genes identified, and functional enrichment analyses indicated that ferroptosis pathway genes were significantly enriched.

The threshold of toxicological concern (TTC), a risk estimation method based on compound structurally-related toxicity data, has been widely used by many countries and regions for the safety risk assessment of food packaging materials and additives etc. Toxicological risk estimation is of importance in the biological evaluation of medical devices. Application of the TTC approach to leachable from medical devices may reduce or replace some unnecessary biocompatibility tests, but consideration should be taken for contact duration and route differences, which could affect the applicability of TTC.

To study incremental machine learning in tensor space, this paper proposes incremental tensor discriminant analysis. The algorithm employs tensor representation to carry on discriminant analysis and combine incremental learning to alleviate the computational cost. This paper proves that the algorithm can be unified into the graph framework theoretically and analyzes the time and space complexity in detail.

Angiotensin II (AngII) induces cardiac hypertrophy and increases the expression of TR3. To determine whether TR3 is involved in the regulation of the pathological cardiac hypertrophy induced by AngII, we established mouse and rat hypertrophy models using chronic AngII administration. Our results reveal that a deficiency of TR3 in mice or the knockdown of TR3 in the left ventricle of rats attenuated AngII-induced cardiac hypertrophy compared with the respective controls.

In response to ionizing radiation (IR)-induced DNA double-strand breaks (DSB), cells elicit an evolutionarily conserved checkpoint response that induces cell cycle arrest and either DNA repair or apoptosis, thereby maintaining genomic stability. DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK) is a central enzyme involved in DSB repair for mammalian cells that comprises a DNA-PK catalytic subunit and the Ku protein, which act as regulatory elements. DNA-PK also functions as a signaling molecule to selectively regulate p53-dependent apoptosis in response to IR.

Objective: To investigate the effect of ultra-filtration on reducing the matrix effects of the immersion of recombination human acellular dermal matrix (rhADM) on detecting residual bovine serum albumin (BSA) by ELISA.

Methods: Preparation of rhADM immersion: rhADM were rinsed, and then rhADM immersion were prepared. Physiological saline was used as immersion medium.

Fingerprints of 14 apple cider samples from different manufacturers were studied using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with an electrochemical detector (ECD). The analysis was carried out on a Zorbax SB-C18 column at 30 degrees C with 2% (v/v) methanol aqueous solution-4% (v/v) acetic acid aqueous solution as mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/min.
