Rodents are essential to the balance of the grassland ecosystem, but their population outbreak can cause major economic and ecological damage. Rodent monitoring is crucial for its scientific management, but traditional methods heavily depend on manual labor and are difficult to be carried out on a large scale. In this study, we used UAS to collect high-resolution RGB images of steppes in Inner Mongolia, China in the spring, and used various object detection algorithms to identify the holes of Brandt's vole ().

Objective: This study aimed to determine changes in resting-state directional functional connectivity measured using a novel approach, granger causality density (GCD), in patients with AD, and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and explore novel neuroimaging biomarkers for cognitive decline detection.
Methods: In this study, structural MRI, resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging, and neuropsychological data of 48 Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative participants were analyzed, comprising 16 patients with AD, 16 with MCI, and 16 normal controls.
(1) Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD), an age-progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects cognitive function, causes changes in the functional connectivity of the default-mode network (DMN). However, the question of whether AD-related changes occur in the functional connectivity of the basal ganglia has rarely been specifically analyzed. This study aimed to measure the changes in basal ganglia functional connectivity among patients with AD and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in their resting state using the functional connectivity density (FCD) value, the functional connectivity (FC) intensity, and the graph theory index, and to confirm their influence on clinical manifestations.

Existing methods based on image analysis are convenient but lack a counting algorithm that is suitable for multiple types of grains. This research develops an application program based on an Android device to quickly calculate the number of grains.

The pathology of AD is complex, involving Aβ overproduction and accumulation, tau hyperphosphorylation, and neuronal loss. In addition, chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (CCH) is ubiquitous in the AD patients and plans a pivotal role in triggering and exacerbating the pathophysiological progress of AD.

The methods that are currently used to count the number of grains per panicle are manually conducted, making them labor intensive and time consuming. Existing image-based grain counting methods had difficulty in separating overlapped grains.

Wheat seedling density provides emergence data and this is useful for improving crop management. The number of wheat seedlings is typically determined by visual counts but this is time-consuming and laborious.

The characteristic features included sudden onset, masses of terrified burn victims, small and deep wounds, mild disease conditions, and favorable prognosis. Unlike in home or illegal fireworks displays, the body areas most often involved were the extremity, chest, abdomen, and back, and most of the victims were adults in these public fireworks displays.

This study was conducted to explore the effect of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) on the graft survival rates of fat particles in rabbits. Six domestic rabbits were used for a 3-month study; 1.4 grams of fat tissues were harvested from the bilateral inguinal regions of each animal.

Selenium (Se) is an essential trace element for living organisms, which has been shown to play a major role in thyroid hormone levels and the nutritional metabolism. The aims of the present study were to assess the changes in serum levels of selenium and their correlation with disorders of the endocrine and nutritional metabolism in HD patients.

Objective: To investigate the possibility to enhance the proliferation of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) in a delayed fat flap in rabbits.
Methods: A delayed fat flap was formed in one side of inguinal region of a rabbit. 21 days after operation, the fat tissues at the delayed flaps and at the unoperated side were harvested and digested with 0.
Background: Patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis (HD) have an impaired immune response with a dysregulated Th1/Th2 cytokine network and altered the levels of thyroid hormone (TH) in euthyroid sick syndrome. Leptin, an adipocyte-secreted hormone, is considered to be a proinflammatory adipocytokine, with multiple effects on several tissues acting on the intermediate and energy metabolism. The aims of the present study were to assess the changes in serum levels of leptin and their correlation with Th1/Th2 cytokine and TH production in HD patients.

The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of the delayed fat flap on viability and longevity of grafted fat in an animal model. Sixty New Zealand rabbits were used for the long-term study. In each animal, a U-shaped fat flap was raised randomly in the inguinal region on one leg and then resutured in place to delay the flap for ischaemic pretreatment.

Methods: The delay operation of fat flaps was performed in the inguinal region of a rabbit. Expression of VEGF was assayed using Elisa method after 12 hours of flap delay.
The propose of the present study is to investigate the effects of lanthanum chloride (LaCl(3)), a rare earth compound, on extracellular matrix molecules in rat wound tissues, hoping to provide a clue for further study in reducing excessive extracellular matrix formation in trauma and burn, as well as in fibrous disorders. In order to elucidate its action mechanism, we investigated its effects on fibroblast apoptosis, intracellular calcium, collagen synthesis and expression, and fibronectin mRNA expression. We found that treatment with 0.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of lanthanum chloride on expressions of collagen protein and find a way to prevent and treat scar.
Methods: Four linear incisions were made on the dorsal skin of an adult, female Sprague-Dawley rat as an animal model. One was non-manipulated as a control; the second was injected with distilled water as a sham-control; the third was injected with 50 mmol/L of lanthanum chloride, and the fourth was injected with 50 micrograms neutralizing antibody of TGF-beta 1 as a positive control.
