Mechanochemical reactions, achieved through milling, grinding, or other mechanical actions, have emerged as a solvent-free alternative to traditional solution-based chemistry. Mechanochemistry not only provides the opportunity to eliminate bulk solvent use, reducing waste generation, but also unveils a new reaction strategy which enables the realization of reactions previously inaccessible in solution. A copper-catalyzed trifluoromethylthio-arylsulfonylation between 1,3-enynes, AgSCF, aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates, and SO (from SOgen) is presented, which could introduce sulfone, SCF, and allene moieties into one molecule simultaneously. This strategy features mild reaction conditions, good substrate compatibility, and excellent regioselectivity. Objectives: To establish a nomogram model for the early diagnosis of sepsis in children.

A nickel-catalyzed cross-electrophile coupling of allylic acetates and -difluorovinyl tosylate is presented, which first achieves allylic -difluoroolefins via C(sp)-C(sp) cross-electrophile coupling. In addition, this protocol was performed under mild reaction conditions, affording a variety of allylic -difluorovinyl arenes in moderate to good yields. The acceptorless dehydrogenative cross-coupling of primary alcohols to form cross-esters with the liberation of H gas was enabled using a [RuCl(η-CH)(κ-CNP)][PF]Cl complex as the catalyst. This sustainable protocol is applicable to a broad range of primary alcohols, particularly for the sterically demanding ones, featuring good functional group tolerance and high selectivity. The good catalytic performance can be attributed to the nitrogen-phosphine-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene (CNP) ligand, which adopts a facial coordination mode as well as the facile dissociation of coordinated benzene.

Considering the high contents of minerals and the potential health risk of mineral dusts to human and the environment, this paper was aimed to figure out the toxic effect and mechanism of four common mineral particles (quartz, albite, sericite, and montmorillonite). Cytotoxicity assays for cell viability (MTT assay), membrane integrity (LDH assay), oxidative stress (HO assay) and inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6 assay) were applied.
