Purpose: To analyze the effect of complex exercise on cognitive ability of the elderly.
Study Design: By means of literature screening and quality assessment, high-quality studies were extracted to comprehensively analyze the effects of complex exercise on cognitive ability of the elderly.
Method: By searching databases such as Web of Science and CNKI, we integrated experimental studies on the effects of complex exercise on cognitive ability in the elderly, conducted literature quality assessment according to Cochrane bias risk assessment tool, and conducted meta-analysis using Review Manager 5.
Background: Pain is the most critical symptom of knee osteoarthritis(KOA), which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Xibining (XBN), a traditional herbal compound, has achieved good results in the clinical treatment of KOA, and its mechanism of action is worth exploring in depth.
Objective: In vivo and in vitro models of KOA were constructed, and the potential drug action mechanism of XBN in improving osteoarthritis pain was explored in combination with transcriptomics.
Background: Combination regorafenib, ipilimumab, and nivolumab (RIN) was evaluated in a phase 1 nonrandomized study (NCT04362839) of refractory microsatellite stable (MSS) metastatic colorectal cancer. Promising antitumor activity was previously reported in the non-liver metastatic (NLM) population. This updated analysis describes long-term survival outcomes in the NLM cohort and highlights durable remissions with potential cure following completion of RIN therapy.

Objectives: Using bibliometric analysis, this study aims to visualize and analyze the global landscape and emerging trends in hot spring research, focusing on the hotspots and future directions of hot spring medicine application.
Background: There have been conflicting reports on the predictive impact of metastatic disease sites on the response to checkpoint inhibitors (CPI) in microsatellite instability (MSI) metastatic colorectal cancers (mCRC). Recent studies have highlighted peritoneal metastases, ascites, and liver metastases as possible indicators of resistance to CPI.
Methods: We performed a detailed analysis of high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) mCRC treated with programmed cell death (PD-1) or PD-1/cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 CPI in a single center.
Background: Patients with microsatellite-high (MSI-H) metastatic colorectal cancers (CRC) may experience long-lasting benefit from immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) upon stopping therapy. The widespread use of Next Generation Sequencing has led to the discovery of several pathogenic mutations including RNA binding motif 10 (RBM10), a part of the spliceosome complex that regulates splicing of pre-mRNA.
Patients And Methods: Electronic medical records were utilized to create a database of patients (50 patients) seen from 2018-2023 with NSCLC and RBM10 mutations, with appropriate IRB approval.
Lupus nephritis (LN), a leading cause of death in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) patients, presents significant diagnostic and prognostic challenges. Although renal pathology offers critical insights regarding the diagnosis, classification, and therapy for LN, its clinical utility is constrained by the invasive nature and limited reproducibility of renal biopsies. Moreover, the continuous monitoring of renal pathological changes through repeated biopsies is impractical.

Endovascular thrombectomy is the last option for these tPA-resistant thrombi, thus a new noninvasive strategy is urgently needed. Through an examination of thrombi retrieved from stroke patients, we found that neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), ε-(γ-glutamyl) lysine isopeptide bonds and fibrin scaffolds jointly comprise the key chain in tPA resistance.

Methods: Patients with advanced refractory PRCC were randomised to receive sunitinib or cabozantinib, crizotinib or savolitinib, stratified by PRCC subtype (type 1, type 2, or not otherwise specified [NOS]/mixed) by local review. Central review was retrospectively conducted by three expert genitourinary pathologists who independently reviewed cases.
Seamless site-directed mutagenesis is an important technique for studying protein functions, tuning enzyme catalytic activities and modifying genetic elements in multiple rounds because it can insert, delete or substitute nucleotides, DNA segments or even entire genes at the target site without introducing any unwanted change. To facilitate seamless site-directed mutagenesis in large plasmids and bacterial artificial chromosomes (BACs) with repetitive sequences, we recently developed the RedEx strategy. Compared with previous methods, our approach achieves the recovery of correct recombinants with high accuracy by circumventing unwanted recombination between repetitive sequences.

However, its effect on those receiving tyrosine kinase inhibitor-based combinations is unknown. In this open-label, randomized, investigator-initiated, phase 1 study, 30 participants with locally advanced or mRCC with histological confirmation of clear cell, papillary or sarcomatoid component were randomized in a 2:1 fashion to receive cabozantinib (an inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, MET and AXL) and nivolumab (anti-programmed cell death protein 1) with or without CBM588 as first-line treatment.

The objective of this study was to investigate morphological changes in the astroglia in models that are commonly used in pain and itch studies.
Methods: Five different mouse models of pain, as well as two models of chronic itch, were established using complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA), spared nerve injury (SNI), bone cancer pain (BCP), cisplatin (CIS), and paclitaxel (PTX) for pain, and diphenylcyclopropenone (DCP) and acetone and diethyl ether followed by water (AEW) for chronic itch.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This survey study included designated site contacts at oncology practices with teams who were highly involved with the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) Community Oncology Research Institute (ACORI) clinical trials activities, all American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)-ACCC collaboration pilot sites, and/or sites providing care to at least 25% African American and Hispanic residents.
