Cardiac development is a complex and intricate process involving numerous molecular signals and pathways. Researchers have explored cardiac development through a long journey, starting with early studies observing morphological changes and progressing to the exploration of molecular mechanisms using various molecular biology methods. Currently, advancements in stem cell technology and sequencing technology, such as the generation of human pluripotent stem cells and cardiac organoids, multi-omics sequencing, and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, have enabled researchers to understand the molecular mechanisms of cardiac development better.

China, which is heavily impacted by a broad spectrum of respiratory disorders, has made notable strides in both research and clinical management of these diseases. The International Respiratory Medicine (IRM) meeting was organized with the primary goal of facilitating the exchange of recent research developments and promoting collaboration between Chinese and American scientists in both basic and clinical research fields.

Methods: Eight hundred twenty-two ccRCC patients with contrast-enhanced computed tomography images involved in this study were collected. A rectangular region of interest surrounding the tumor was used to extract quantitative radiomics and deep-learning features, which were filtered by Cox proportional hazard regression model and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator.
Background And Purpose: Esophageal cancer-related gene-4 (ECRG4) participate in inflammation process and can interact with the innate immunity complex TLR4-MD2-CD14 on human granulocytes. In addition, ECRG4 participate in modulation of ion channel function and electrical activity of cardiomyocytes. However, the exact mechanism is unknown.

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening hyperinflammatory disorder that occurs as a consequence of immune dysregulation. HLH can be primary (familial or non-familial) or secondary to infection, autoimmune disease or malignancy. Malignancy-associated HLH is often accompanied by hematologic and lymphoid neoplasms.

Although spatial proteomics can only detect a limited number of proteins compared to spatial transcriptomics, it provides comprehensive spatial information with single-cell resolution. By studying the spatial distribution of cells, we can clearly obtain the spatial context within tissues at multiple scales.

However, off-target effects remain a significant challenge, hindering its broader clinical application. To enhance the development of gene-editing therapies and the accuracy of prediction algorithms, we developed CRISPRoffT (https://ccsm.

Understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying this complex process is essential for developing effective metastasis prevention and therapy strategies. To this end, we systematically analysed 1786 bulk tissue samples from 13 cancer types, 988 463 single cells from 17 cancer types, and 40 252 spots from 45 spatial slides across 10 cancer types.

Although multiple computational models exist for predicting the abundance of diverse T cell types, tools for assessing their states to characterize their degree of resting, activation, and suppression are lacking. To address this gap, a robust and nuanced scoring tool called T cell state identifier (TCellSI) leveraging Mann-Whitney statistics is established.

Circadian rhythms, which are the natural cycles that dictate various physiological processes over a 24-h period, have been increasingly recognized as important in the management and treatment of various human diseases. However, the lack of sufficient data and reliable analysis methods have been a major obstacle to understanding the bidirectional interaction between circadian variation and human health. We have developed CircaKB, a comprehensive knowledgebase of circadian genes across multiple species.

A clinical challenge in managing vocal cord leukoplakia is to assess the potential malignant transformation of the lesion. This study aims to investigate the potential of deep learning (DL) for the simultaneous segmentation and classification of vocal cord leukoplakia using narrow band imaging (NBI) and white light imaging (WLI).

Individual patient's resistance is exacerbated by the intricate heterogeneity of tumor cells, presenting significant obstacles to effective treatment. To address this challenge, DrugFormer, a novel graph-augmented large language model designed to predict drug resistance at single-cell level is proposed.

The audio signals obtained by mixing the audio signals of pigs in different states with different coefficients are taken as observation signals, and the mixing matrix is first estimated from the observation signals using the improved AP clustering method based on the "two-step method" of sparse component analysis (SCA), and then the audio signals of pigs are reconstructed by L1-paradigm separation. Five different types of pig audio are selected for experiments to explore the effects of duration and mixing matrix on the blind source separation algorithm by controlling the audio duration and mixing matrix, respectively.
