[Distribution and characteristics of hepatitis B virus genotypes in Uighur patients with chronic hepatitis B in Xinjiang province of China].

Objective: To study genotype distribution and the characteristics of hepatitis B virus (HBV) in Uighur patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) in Xinjiang, China.

Methods: Type specific primers and PCR were used to detect the HBV genotypes of 127 Uighur CHB patients in Xinjiang. Genotyping results were confirmed by PCR product sequencing.

[Evaluation of efficacy and safety of using molecular adsorbent recirculating system in the treatment of patients with chronic liver failure].

Objective: To evaluate the effect and safety of a single treatment using molecular adsorbent recirculating system (MARS) on patients with chronic liver failure.

Methods: The effect of MARS artificial liver system in 60 cases of chronic liver failure was reviewed. The liver function, renal function, blood coagulation index, peripheral blood routine and serum electrolytes were determined before and after treatment with MARS.

[Study on mechanism of the circulation reconstructing of skin flap after early-repeated short ischemia training].

Objective: To investigate the effects of repeated short ischemia training on flap survival area, vascular endothelial growth factor and the microvascularsel density.

Methods: Seventy-two rabbits were divided into: the experimental group (n=64), the skin flaps were constructed in two sides of back, one side flap were given ischemia training for 15 minutes and 8 times one day at the pedicles from the 1st to 8th day after operation (group A), the other side flap was served as a control (group B), the corresponding site was only marked as a blank control group (group C). Then, 8 pedicles of group A and group B were isolated every day.

A randomized controlled clinical trial: interruption of intrauterine transmission of hepatitis B virus infection with HBIG.

Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of interruption of intrauterine infection of HBV with HBIG in pregnant women with positive HBeAg and HBsAg.

Methods: A prospective randomized controlled trial was adopted. Sixty cases with positive HBeAg and HBsAg were coincident with the criteria of inclusion, and 8 cases were excluded.

Methods: All clinical data of surgical cases from hospital registry from 1982 to 2002 were analyzed using SPSS 11.0 software.
