Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) remote sensing has revolutionized forest pest monitoring and early warning systems. However, the susceptibility of UAV-based object detection models to adversarial attacks raises concerns about their reliability and robustness in real-world deployments. To address this challenge, we propose SC-RTDETR, a novel framework for secure and robust object detection in forest pest monitoring using UAV imagery.

Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), a single-gene-inherited kidney disease, is a common cause of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). The PKD1 gene mutation is the most common cause of ADPKD, accounting for approximately 78% of cases. ADPKD is characterized by the scattered distribution of multiple cysts in the renal parenchyma, ultimately leading to ESKD.

Background: Developing proficiency in ultrasound-guided nerve block (UGNB) demands an intricate understanding of cross-sectional anatomy as well as spatial reasoning, which is a big challenge for beginners. The aim of this pilot study was to evaluate the feasibility of virtual reality (VR)-facilitated anatomy education in the first performance of ultrasound-guided interscalene brachial plexus blockade among novice anesthesiologists. We carried out pilot testing of this hypothesis using a prospective, single blind, randomized controlled trial.

Three-dimensional structured illumination microscopy (3D-SIM) provides excellent optical sectioning and doubles the resolution in all dimensions compared with wide-field microscopy. However, its much lower axial resolution results in blurred fine details in that direction and overall image distortion. Here we present 4Pi-SIM, a substantial revamp of IS that synergizes 3D-SIM with interferometric microscopy to achieve isotropic optical resolution through interference in both the illumination and detection wavefronts.

In order to elucidate the digestion, absorption and metabolism mechanism, Hohenbuehelia serotina polysaccharides were successfully labelled by fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC-Tyr-HSP), with the fluorescent substitution degree of 0.37 %. FITC-Tyr-HSP with excellent physiological stability possessed the significant fluorescent characteristics, which could be dynamically monitored by in vivo fluorescence imaging and high performance gel permeation chromatography-fluorescence detector (HPGPC-FLD).

Here, hybrid stimuli-responsive (exhibiting pyroelectricity and piezoelectricity) porous cryogels are engineered by embedding tourmaline nanoparticles (TNs) in a cellulose nanofiber (CNF) skeleton to generate high-performance CNF-TN-based airborne particulate matter (PM) filters. First, single-layer hybrid cryogels with varying TN contents (0-5% w v) are assembled, and the design principles for multilayered filters are established based on a novel sequential pre-freezing and freeze-drying technique. As observed, the embedded TNs transformed the CNF network into a more homogeneous, isotropic, and firm structure, thus improving the structural integrity and thermal stability of the assembled cryogels while maintaining their ultrahigh porosity and low density.

This study explored the generation site and regulation mechanism of reactive oxygen species(ROS) in the apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells induced by furanodienone(Fur). RKO cells were treated with 200 μmol·L~(-1) of Fur, and the changes in intracellular nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase(NOX) activity were detected by the NOX activity detection method. The control group, Fur group, diphenyleneiodonium(DPI) inhibitor group for general NOX, mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant(MitoTEMPO) group, Fur+DPI group, Fur+MitoTEMPO group, and H_2O_2 positive control group were set up.

Targeted therapy has emerged as a transformative breakthrough in modern medicine. Oligonucleotide drugs, such as antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) and small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), have made significant advancements in targeted therapy. Other oligonucleotide-based therapeutics like clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein (Cas) systems are also leading a revolution in targeted gene therapy.

Methane (CH) is identified to be an emerging anti-inflammation and anti-cancer molecule with high bio-safety, but the targeted delivery of CH is a thorny challenge. Herein, we propose a CH delivery strategy based on an intratumoral HO-triggered cascade reaction of ascorbic acid (AA)/methionine (Met), and have constructed a new nanomedicine (AMN) for tumor-targeted CH therapy. Encouragingly, AMN realizes the effective tumor-targeted delivery and intratumoral HO-responsive release of CH, and exhibits significant anti-cancer effects and high bio-safety.
