Background: This review aimed to examine if atopic dermatitis (AD) led to an increased risk of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by collating data from longitudinal studies.
Summary: Cohort and case-control studies examining the risk of IBD, Crohn's disease (CD), or ulcerative colitis (UC) due to exposure to AD were included in this review. Articles were searched on PubMed, CENTRAL, Embase, Scopus, and Web of Science electronic repositories up to 2nd October 2024.
Heat stress can impair organismal growth by inducing ubiquitination, proteasome-mediated degradation, and subsequent cellular damage. Vitamin C (VC) has been shown to potentially mitigate the detrimental effects of abiotic stresses on cells. Nevertheless, the impact of heat stress on growth plate chondrocytes remains unclear, and the underlying protective mechanisms of VC in these cells warrant further investigation.

However, such material is usually troubled by huge volume changes during charge/discharge process, leading to the rapid degradation of electrochemical performance. Notably, construction of carbon coating layers is a practical strategy to alleviate the volumetric effect of Ge.

In this Letter, we systematically construct solvable nonintegrable quantum circuits that exhibit exact hidden Markovian subsystem dynamics. This feature thus enables accurately calculating local observables for arbitrary evolution time.

A novel post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PTCy)-based approach for patients with TD-TM undergoing haploidentical HSCT was reported in our prior study. Here we aimed to retrospectively evaluate the real-world efficacy and safety of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis in patients with TD-TM after HSCT from matched donors and haploidentical donors (HIDs).

However, its precise function and regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. Here, we showed that phosphorylation of 53BP1 at serine 25 by ATM is required for neural progenitor cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation in cortical brain organoids.

Dispersion normalized positive matrix factorization (DN-PMF) was used to identify PM sources in Seoul and Beijing and assess the effectiveness of the seasonal management programs (SMPs) through a comparative study. Samples were collected during three periods: January-December 2019, September 2020-May 2021, and July 2021-March 2022.

However, many of current methods for synthesizing NiCoO/NiCo-LDH suffer from long synthesis times, complex preparation process, and high temperatures and high pressures. In this study, we present a green, simple, and efficient approach known as assisted liquid-phase plasma electrolysis, which realizes the rapid fabrication of ultra-fine NiCoO/NiCo-LDH nanoparticle-decorated electrospun carbon nanofibers (NiCoO/NiCo-LDH/CNFs) composites.

In this work, the unprecedented PBA orthogonal frustums are first prepared from nanocubes through a selective chemical etching approach using trisodium citrate as an etchant. The citrate ions can chelate with nickel species from the edges/corners of NiCo-PBA nanocubes and then disintegrate NiCo-PBAs resulting in the generation of NiCo-PBA orthogonal frustums.

However, the poor electrochemical activity and severe waste of space hinder their further application as supercapacitors electrodes. In this work, MnO nanoflowers restricted and epitaxial growth in/out carbon nanofibers (MnO/MnO@CF) were prepared as excellent electrode materials for supercapacitors.

The expression of genes involved in testis-derived hormone metabolism was altered following surgical castration, but the upstream regulatory factors and underlying mechanism remain unclear. In this study, we systematically profiled chromatin accessibility and transcriptional dynamics in liver tissue of castrated and intact full-sibling Yorkshire pigs.

Aim: To investigate the role of rehabilitative nursing interventions in optimizing the postoperative mental status recovery phase and to provide clinical value for future rehabilitation of patients with HCH.
Methods: This randomized controlled study included 120 patients with cerebral HCH who were contained to our neurosurgery department between May 2021-May 2023 as the participants.
Construction of Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) with heterostructure is beneficial to preparing PBAs derivatives with superior electrochemical performance. In this work, the core-shell nanostructured nanocubes composed of nickel hexacyanocobalt PBA (NiCo-PBA)@cobalt carbonate hydroxide (CCH) are synthesized through an in-situ epitaxial growth strategy, and the formation mechanisms of coating are carefully validated and specifically discussed. Then, the precursors are successfully transformed into hierarchical CoNiS/CoS@CoS via the gas-phase vulcanization method.

The results showed that S5C5-AC had excellent adsorption performance on Cr(VI), and lower pH value, higher initial concentration and longer contact time were beneficial for Cr(VI) adsorption. The adsorption kinetics and isotherms revealed that Cr(VI) adsorption by S5C5-AC was homogeneous and dominated by chemisorption.

Herein, a novel multi-dimensional microporous nanostructured composite, melamine sponge (MS) loaded puffed-rice biomass carbon (C) together with bimetallic carbide material NiZnC (NiZnC-MS/C) was synthesized by simple vacuum filtration and hydrothermal calcination. The result indicates that small NiZnC particles with little Ni doping uniformly decorated on the surfaces of the three-dimensional (3D) melamine sponge and puffed rice carbons.
