Background: The application of intelligent robots in therapy is becoming more and more important for people with dementia. More extensive research is still needed to evaluate its impact on behavioral and psychological dementia symptoms, as well as quality of life in different care settings.
Objective: The purpose of this research is to methodically assess how well intelligence robot interventions work for patients with dementia.
Background: Mounting evidence supports the health benefits of intermittent fasting (IF) in general. This study evaluates its impact on patients with gynecological or breast cancer specifically.
Methods: A thorough search for studies comparing IF with either nonintervention diets or calorie restriction (CR) in patients with either gynecological or breast cancer and published prior to October 5, 2024 was carried out on the PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Scopus, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Chinese Biomedical Literature databases (CBM).
The effects of heavy metal contamination on soil biomes have been of considerable interest. However, the effects of heavy metal pollution on the interactions between soil multi-trophic biota in soil food webs and the regulatory mechanisms still need more research, especially in different soil situations. This study examined the impact of heavy metal contamination on soil micro-food web in two distinct soil resource availability situations.

Methods And Results: A total of 13 886 patients with first-episode acute myocardial infarction who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention with a drug-eluting stent at 3 centers from January 2017 to January 2022 were included in this retrospective study. Patients were categorized into 4 groups: ARBBB (n=348), typical right BBB (n=374), left BBB (n=366), and non-BBB (n=12 798).

Background: Alzheimer's disease and other dementias (ADOD) pose a significant and escalating global public health challenge, particularly among the aging populations. Emerging evidence has identified high fasting plasma glucose (HFPG) as a major modifiable risk factor for ADOD, linking impaired glucose metabolism to cognitive decline and neurodegeneration. Despite this association, the comprehensive impact of HFPG on the global burden of ADOD has not been fully elucidated.

There is an urgent need for novel immunomodulatory agents to enhance the immunotherapeutic response in CRC. Hedyotis diffusa, known for its immunomodulatory properties, has long been utilized as an adjunct in cancer treatment, positioning it as a potential source for discovering new tumor immunomodulators.

Castleman disease (CD) and immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) are rare systemic immune-mediated disorders that share overlapping clinical features, posing significant challenges in differential diagnosis. Here, we present a case of generalized lymphadenopathy initially misdiagnosed as IgG4-RD, which demonstrated a poor response to hormonal therapy. Subsequent pathological biopsy and immunohistochemical analysis ultimately confirmed the diagnosis of CD.

The links between cardiac structure and function and MCI are not well understood. We aimed to explore the association between echocardiographic parameters of cardiac structure and function and MCI in CVD patients.

This study investigates the role of pheromone-binding proteins (PBPs) in the courtship behavior of male G. molesta moths, particularly how sex pheromone components affect PBP expression.

Herein, we found that Helicoverpa armigera single nucleopolyhedrovirus (HearNPV) promoted lipid metabolism of infected H. armigera larvae, and changes in lipid metabolism can affect climbing behavior.

As wheat aphids cause significant losses to global wheat production, a systematic evaluation of the predatory potential and biocontrol service functions of E. balteatus in wheat ecosystems was undertaken.

However, the lack of a quick and convenient approach to determine the intratumoral epigenetic heterogeneity (eITH) limit the application of eITH in clinical settings. Here, we aimed to develop a tool that can evaluate the eITH using the DNA methylation profiles from bulk tumors.

The prevalence of EDS in patients with OSA remains unclear and there is a lack of studies on the associations of EDS with quality of life among patients with OSA in China. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of EDS and its association with quality of life in patients with OSA in Shenzhen, China.

Using high-throughput sequencing (HTS) and headspace solid-phase microextraction, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) was used to investigate microbial diversity and volatile compound profiles at different fermentation stages. Spearman correlation analysis was employed to identify potential associations between microbial genera and flavor compounds.

Cancer-associatedfibroblasts (CAFs) are significant in immune escape and resistance toimmunotherapy, emphasizing the urgent need for new treatment strategies.
Methods: Flow cytometric, Western blotting, proteomics analysis, analysis of public database data, genetically modified cell line models, T cell coculture, crystal violetstaining, ELISA, metabonomic and clinical tumour samples were conducted to assess the role of EDEM3 in immune escape and itsmolecular mechanisms.
Objective: To evaluate the plasma levels of the otoconial proteins, otoconin-90 and otolin-1, in individuals diagnosed with vestibular neuritis (VN) and determine the feasibility of using these proteins as biomarkers for VN.
Methods: In this preliminary study, 30 patients diagnosed with VN and 70 healthy individuals were recruited and followed to confirm whether they had benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) during the following time. The recorded data included measurements of height, weight, and history of diabetes mellitus or hypertension.
Aqueous Zn-S batteries provide competitive energy density for large-scale energy storage systems. However, the cathode active material exhibits poor electrical conductivity especially at the discharged state of ZnS. Its morphology generated in cells thus directly determines the cathode electrochemical activity.

Background: To date, the prolonged treatment duration and expensive second-line anti-tuberculosis drugs (SLDs) for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) can impose a significant financial burden, which may negatively impact treatment outcomes. This study examines the effect of a subsidy policy on treatment outcomes of MDR-TB patient..

However, CORO1A is typically considered "undruggable" due to its smooth surface and complex protein-protein interactions (PPIs). Molecular glues have emerged as one of the most effective strategies to rapidly degrade such "undruggable" targets.

Recent advances have revealed their roles in inflammation, coagulation, and immune responses, where they act as damage-associated molecular patterns. The mechanisms by which histones induce membrane leakage are not well understood, and certain cells, including endothelial cells and peritoneal macrophages, show resistance to histone-mediated pore formation.
