The aim of this study was to fulfill the NOx emissions standards for a light-duty diesel vehicle under real driving emissions (RDE) testing conditions by implementing various control strategies. In this study, RDE tests were performed by adjusting the air mass quantity and postinjection quantity in order to analyze engine-out and tail-pipe nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions for different phases of RDE. The results showed that reducing in air mass quantity enabled the engine to operate in higher exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) rate regions, resulting in a 32.

CD19-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T lymphocytes (CAR-T) has demonstrated a high proportion of complete remission in the treatment of relapsed refractory acute B cell lymphoblastic leukemia (r/r B-ALL). It is of great clinical significance to explore which factors will impact long-term disease-free survival of patients with r/r B-ALL after CAR-T therapy without bridging bone marrow transplantation. Our study found that, in patients with r/r B-ALL without bridging transplantation, the patients' age; infusion dosage; whether they had undergone allo-stem cell transplantation before CAR-T therapy, using CD-19-targeted or CD19/CD22-dual-targeted CAR-T; whether there is fusion gene; tumor burden before therapy; and comorbidity had no significant relationship with their long-term disease-free survival.

Periodontal disease is an inflammatory and destructive disease of tissues supporting the tooth. A large number of studies have confirmed that periodontal pathogens and their metabolites can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes in direct or indirect ways. Adverse pregnancy outcomes, such as preterm birth, low birth weight, and pre-eclampsia, have a serious impact on human reproductive health.

Exosomes, one type of extracellular vesicle (EV) secreted by cells, participate in intercellular communication and other biological processes as carriers of lipids, functional proteins, mRNAs, miRNAs, lncRNAs, and DNA fragments. Their presence in biofluids makes them attractive candidates as innovative clinical diagnostic tools. However, the conventional isolation and analysis of high-purity exosomes in clinical application is challenging, with traditional methods facing a number of shortcomings, including low yield or purity, long periods of processing, high cost, and difficulties in standardization.

Progressive myoclonic epilepsy (PME) is a rare neurodegenerative disease, characterized by myoclonic seizures and tonic clonic seizures, with genetical and phenotypical heterogeneity. The semaphorin 6B () gene has been recently reported a causal gene of PME. Independent studies are warranted to further support these findings.

To explore the possibility of using flue gas desulfurization gypsum (FGDG) for inhibiting phosphorus (P) loss due to agricultural runoff, a 3-year study was performed in the farmlands of Chongming Dongtan between 2012 and 2015. Five different quantities of FGDG were used to treat the soil, and the effects of different treatments on the characteristics of soil P and crop growth were investigated. The results showed that 2 years after application of FGDG, the soil density at a depth of 0-10 cm decreased by 4.

Introduction: Endovascular intervention involving the aortic arch, particularly in thoracic aortic dissection, remains challenging and controversial at current time when there is no commercially suitable grafts on most of the international markets. This study compared two endovascular treatments that maintain left subclavian artery perfusion using two modified techniques for type-B aortic dissection patients.

Methods: Consecutive cases utilizing chimney or in situ fenestration techniques to preserve left subclavian artery in type B AD from 2006 to 2015 in our single institution were retrospectively reviewed.

Introduction: Pyrolytic carbon (PyC) is a kind of biomaterial which is chemically inert and has excellent biocompatibility. In order to obtain a super-hydrophobic PyC surface to improve anticoagulation and inhibit thrombus, this study prepares grating pair structure, microhole array structure, helix structure on PyC surface by nanoseconds laser etching.

Methods: Rod-like ZnO film and ball-like ZnO film are prepared on the PyC surface by the hydrothermal method; polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) nanofiber film and PVP/TiO complex nanofiber film are prepared on the PyC surface by the electrospinning method; the PyC surface is silanized.

Introduction: Micro/nanostructured materials have attracted a great deal of attention, and many strategies have been developed to fabricate micro/nanostructured materials.

Methods: Amine-functionalized micro/nanostructured FeO with different sizes was synthesized conveniently in organic media. The chemical structures of as-synthesized products were characterized by FTIR, TEM, SEM, and XRD.

Background: CD44 and phosphorylated AKT (p-AKT) is a potentially interesting prognostic marker and therapeutic target in pancreatic cancer. The expression of CD44 and p-AKT has been reported to correlate with poor prognosis of pancreatic cancer in most literatures. The purpose of this study is to investigate the roles of CD44 and p-AKT in pancreatic head cancer and their correlation with the prognosis of pancreatic head cancer patients.

High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a novel therapeutic modality. Several preclinical and clinical studies have investigated the safety and efficacy of HIFU for treating solid tumours, including pancreatic cancer. Preliminary studies suggest that HIFU may be useful for the palliative therapy of cancer-related pain in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer.

CYP 2C8, which carries out the oxidative metabolism of at least 5% of clinical drugs, has attracted increasing attention in recent years. New drugs (substances), inducers and inhibitors of CYP 2C8 have been developed and the drug metabolism has been investigated to understand the clinical role of CYP2C8. The cases of CYP2C8 genetic polymorphisms linked to diseases have increased and have been investigated.

Epigenetic mechanisms have important roles in carcinogenesis. We certified that the mRNA translation-related gene cytoplasmic polyadenylation element-binding protein 1 (CPEB1) is hypomethylated and overexpressed in glioma cells and tissues. The knockdown of CPEB1 reduced cell senescence by regulating the expression or distribution of p53 in glioma cells.

This study investigated the role of perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) in the beneficial effects of andrographolide on vascular reactivity in endotoxaemic rats. After being challenged by lipopolysaccharide (4 mg/kg intraperitoneally), the rats were treated with andrographolide (1 mg/kg intraperitoneally). The response to phenylephrine of aortic rings with or without PVAT was recorded.
