: At present, cancer imaging examination relies mainly on manual reading of doctors, which requests a high standard of doctors' professional skills, clinical experience, and concentration. However, the increasing amount of medical imaging data has brought more and more challenges to radiologists. The detection of digestive system cancer (DSC) based on artificial intelligence (AI) can provide a solution for automatic analysis of medical images and assist doctors to achieve high-precision intelligent diagnosis of cancers.

Unlike in an interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (I-FOG), here the counter-propagating waves in the Sagnac loop are orthogonally polarized at the loop exit and, consequently, cannot directly interfere with each other when recombined at the exit. We show that the Stokes parameters s and s of the combined waves are simply the cosine and sine functions of the phase difference between the counter propagation waves, which is linearly proportional to the rotation rate, allowing precise determination of the rotation rate by polarization analysis.

The aim of our research is to evaluate the function of Chrysosplenetin on osteogenesis of human-derived bone marrow stromal cells (hBMSCs) and inhibition of estrogen deficiency-induced osteoporosis via the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.
Method: hBMSCs are cultured and treated by Chrysosplenetin in the absence or presence of Wnt inhibitor dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1) or bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) antagonist Noggin.
Background: Osteonecrosis of the femoral head was gradually concerned as a global disease for its progression to collapse of the femoral head, ultimately causing the arthritic change. Due to the high incidence of this disease in young people, arthroplasty tends to be suspected for its uncertain long-term efficiency. Vascularized pedicle iliac bone grafts, as a hip-preserving surgery, were regarded as an effective option in hip-preserving protocol since the 1970s.

Methods: The clinical data and follow-up data of 68 ESCC patients aged 70 years and over were collected. The characteristics of surgical treatment, perioperative complications, overall survival (OS), and the factors affecting survival were analyzed.
Lung cancer is among the most frequently occurring cancers and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Nonsmall cell lung cancer is accountable for 85% to 90% of all lung cancer cases and develops distant metastases with high mortality. In this work, we elucidated the role of activating transcription factor 1 (ATF1) in migration and invasion of lung cancer cells.

Bulb-yield is one of the valuable agronomic traits of garlic. However, due to the large genome size and a strictly asexual life cycle in the cultivars, the genetic basis of the yield traits are poorly understood in garlic.

Meanwhile, the detailed function of TRIM11 remains unclear in breast cancer cells. The purpose of the present study is to analyze the biological function of TRIM11 and identify its potential signaling pathway in breast cancer cells.

The risk of surgical wound infection in DO is reported to be high due to the long duration of the distraction process. Treatment during the perioperative period is critical in combating infection.

However, whether senescence contributes to renal dysfunction in these conditions remains unclear. Quercetin is an abundant dietary flavonoid that selectively clears inhibiting PI3K/AKT and p53/p21/serpines and inducing apoptosis.

A hierarchical porous composite of Pt@MIL-101/ployvinylidene fluoride (Pt@MIL-101/PVDF) was successfully prepared through a solution-processed method. This composite possesses advanced superhydrophobic and superaerophilic performance which makes it a promising catalyst facilitating liquid phase catalytic exchange techniques (LPCE) in hydrogen-water isotope exchange process. Its superhydrophobic property results in the repellence of water drops from flooding the catalytic surface with a relatively large contact angle in the exchange reaction, and its superaerophilic surface broke hydrogen bubbles into thin film so as to reach higher catalytic reactive efficiency.

However, using standard devices such as keyboard and mouse as human-computer interaction (HCI) is a latent vector of infectious medium, causing risks to patients and surgeons. To solve the human-computer interaction problem, we proposed an optimized structure of LSTM based on a depth camera to recognize gestures and applied it to an in-house oral and maxillofacial surgical navigation system (Qin et al.

Low-energy shockwave therapy (LE-SWT) stimulates angiogenesis in the stenotic kidney, but its ability to improve renal function and structure after revascularization remains unexplored. We tested the hypothesis that a LE-SWT regimen before percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty (PTRA) would enable PTRA to restore renal function in hypercholesterolemic pigs with RAS (HC+RAS), and that this would be associated with attenuation of renal inflammation and fibrosis.

Increasing evidence suggests that alterations of telomere length might be implicated in carcinogenesis. However, the association between cervical cancer and telomere length remains unknown.

Temporal link prediction in dynamic networks has attracted increasing attention recently due to its valuable real-world applications. The primary challenge of temporal link prediction is to capture the spatial-temporal patterns and high nonlinearity of dynamic networks. Inspired by the success of image generation, we convert the dynamic network into a sequence of static images and formulate the temporal link prediction as a conditional image generation problem.

The inflammatory response was denoted as one of most significant biological processes following sciatic nerve injury. In the present study, ingenuity pathway analysis (IPA) demonstrated that macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) was identified as a core regulator of inflammatory response through interaction with CD74 membrane receptor.

The present study investigated the effect of LRRK2 on the cell cycle and apoptosis in TC, and examined the underlying mechanisms in vitro. To screen TC‑associated differentially expressed genes, gene expression microarray analysis was conducted.

In this paper, we propose a novel spectral clustering method for large-scale data, namely, large-scale balanced min cut (LABIN). A new model is proposed to extend the self-balanced min-cut (SBMC) model with the anchor-based strategy and a fast spectral rotation with linear time complexity is proposed to solve the new model.

Methods: We performed a population-based study to identify surgically treated stage Ia endometrial cancer of premenopausal women who were diagnosed between August 1989 and December 2015 in our center. Survival outcomes and recurrence rate were examined for premenopausal women who underwent ovarian preservation.
Background: Nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide 66 (nHA/PA66) is a composite used widely in the repair of bone defects. However, this material is insufficient bioactivity. In contrast, D-RADA16-RGD self-assembling peptide (D-RADA16-RGD sequence containing all D-amino acids is Ac-RADARADARADARADARGDS-CONH) shows admirable bioactivity for both cell culture and bone regeneration.
