Background: More and more studies have shown that Chinese medicine can effectively and safely treat allergic rhinitis (AR) in children. This meta-analysis aims to compare the efficacy and safety differences between conventional therapy and the Chinese herbal medicine Cang-Er-Zi-San (CEZS) from an evidence-based perspective, and guide the clinical treatment of pediatric AR.
Methods: This study aims to compare the effects of intervention with traditional Chinese medicine formula CEZS on the clinical symptoms of pediatric AR, determine the effectiveness and safety of CEZS in treating pediatric AR, and obtain high-quality clinical evidence.
Providing oxygen and preventing infection at wound sites are effective ways to heal diabetic chronic wounds. Inspired by natural lichens, a bioprinted biogenic hydrogel (BBH) containing microalgae and probiotics is developed for diabetic chronic wound therapeutics, which offers prolonged biogenetic oxygen supply by microalgae and infection inhibition by probiotics. The rational design of symbiotic BBH with customizable structure and microorganism composition enhances wound resilience against elevated glucose levels and hypoxia, leading to the increased migration ability of fibroblasts and the angiogenic potential of human umbilical vein endothelial cells.

Its main active compounds are diester diterpenoid alkaloids (DDAs) such as aconitine (AC), mesoacitine (MA), and hypoaconitine (HA), which are also toxic and have a narrow therapeutic window, limiting their clinical use. Although Aconitum DDAs are known for cardiotoxic and neurotoxic effects, their impact on embryonic development remains unclear.

Hepatocyte proliferation, autophagy and antioxidant capacity are crucial to the prognosis of APAP-induced liver injury, but the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood. Here, we found that human antigen R (HuR) protein expression was markedly increased in the model of APAP-induced liver injury, and conditional hepatocyte-specific HuR knockout aggravated APAP-induced liver injury in mice.

Nonetheless, the present legal and ethical framework governing the research use of medical data in China, is characterized by a more restrictive rather than permissive approach. The proportion of Chinese medical data being leveraged for scientific research still has room for improvement at present, indicating a significant untapped potential for advancing medical knowledge and improving healthcare outcomes.

However, the clinical application of mammalian cells-derived EVs is hindered by their high cost and low yields. Inspired by the ability of EVs to mediate interkingdom communication, we explored the therapeutic potential of EVs released by the probiotic strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) in skin wound healing and elucidated the underlying mechanism involved.

This has facilitated genome recombination both within and between species. Despite its use in plant breeding for over fifty years, somatic hybridization has been limited by cumbersome procedures, such as protoplast isolation, hybridized-cell selection and cultivation, and regeneration, particularly in woody perennial species that are difficult to regenerate.

Leveraging the all-weather coverage advantage of Fengyun meteorological satellites, Fengyun-4A (FY-4A) satellite remote sensing data are utilized as conditional guiding information for the CGAN, helping to direct and constrain the near-surface air temperature estimation process. In the proposed network model of the method based on the conditional generative adversarial network structure, the generator combining a self-attention mechanism and cascaded residual blocks is designed with U-Net as the backbone, which extracts implicit feature information and suppresses the irrelevant information in the Fengyun satellite data.

Due to their high persistence and mobility, they are ubiquitous in the environment. Exposure to PFAS occurs in people via multiple pathways such as dermal contact, water supply, air inhalation, and dietary intake.

Given the limitations inherent in current clinical interventions, an urgent need exists for more effective cartilage regeneration methodologies. Previous studies have underscored the potential of electrical stimulation in cartilage repair, thus motivating the investigation of innovative strategies.

Rapid evolution of insecticide resistance requires the development of alternative control strategy for this pest. RNA interference (RNAi) represents a promising, innovative control strategy against key agricultural insect pests, which has recently been licensed for Colorado Potato Beetle control.

This study aimed to determine the differences in lipid metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes and DPN and the possible pathogenesis caused by this difference. The participants comprised type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with DPN (N = 60) and healthy controls (N = 20).

Their tough, less digestible cell walls arose from a new pattern of cross-linking between arabinoxylan polymers with distinctive ferulic acid residues. Despite extensive study, the biochemical mechanism of ferulic acid incorporation into cell walls remains unknown.

The cysteine protease domain (CPD) is responsible for activating the MARTX toxin by cleaving the toxin precursor and releasing the mature toxin fragments. To investigate the structural determinants for inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6)-mediated activation of the CPD, we determined the crystal structures of unprocessed and β-flap truncated MARTX CPDs of Vibrio vulnificus strain MO6-24/O in complex with InsP6 at 1.

Anthocyanins are major flavonoid compounds with established health benefits. Although the molecular mechanisms of MYB transcription factors (TFs) within the MYB-basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH)-WD-repeat protein (MBW) complex in anthocyanin biosynthesis have been revealed, the functions of other MYB TFs that are unable to form the MBW complex in this process remain unclear. In this study, we uncovered and extensively characterized an R2R3-MYB TF in onion (Allium cepa L.

Studies have shown that triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (TREM-1) may be one of the upstream molecules regulating NLRP3/pyroptosis, and 5-hydroxytryptamine type 3-receptor (5-HT3R) antagonists can inhibit NLRP3/pyroptosis. However, the role of TRME-1 in TBI-ALI, the therapeutic effect of 5-HT3R inhibition on TBI-ALI and its mechanism are still unclear.
