However, Si anodes suffer from significant volume changes during lithiation/delithiation processes, posing a major challenge. In this study, we propose a reaction kinetics mechanism mediated by hydrogen-bond-induced local solvation effects for facilely obtaining coral-like nano-silicon (CN-Si).

Background: The cervical cysts is one of the most common children ailments an ENT surgeon encountered, which often begins with painless masses in the neck. The present study summarizes main clinical features of various types of children cervical cysts and discusses the possible approaches and associated complications, with an aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of this pediatric disease.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients admitted with cervical cyst to Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2018 to December 2023.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a severe disease associated with a poor prognosis. The role of aberrant lipid metabolism in the development and progression of HCC necessitates detailed characterization. Sterol regulatory element‑binding proteins (SREBPs), pivotal transcription factors governing lipogenesis, are central to this process.

Methods: Eighty children were totally recruited and divided into OSA and non-OSA groups based on two distinct guidelines, with further subclassification into preschool and school-aged subgroups. Differences in PSG parameters and cognitive tests scores between groups and subgroups were analyzed and compared, followed by partial correlation analysis to determine the correlations between these characteristics.
Primary liver cancer is a common malignant tumor of the digestive system, with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) being the most prevalent type. It is characterized by high malignancy, insidious onset, and a lack of specific early diagnostic and therapeutic markers, posing a serious threat to human health. The occurrence and development of HCC are closely related to its metabolic processes.

Methods: Treatment and outcome of 37 children with MERMS from Beijing Children's Hospital (July 2016-April 2023) were evaluated.
Results: The median age of this cohort was 54 months.
The development of highly efficacious materials for the removal of toxic heavy metal-based oxo-anions is of utmost importance. Herein, an ionic porous organic polymer (designated as HB-IPOP) was synthesized through a quaternization reaction between hexa(imidazole-1-yl)benzene and 5,5'-Bis(bromomethyl)-2,2'-bipyridine. HB-IPOP exhibited high saturation uptake capacities, specifically 292 mg·g for CrO and 531 mg·g for ReO, and demonstrated exceptional selectivity for both CrO and ReO.

This review explores the effects of glycolipid metabolism on EC and its relationship with body weight. We will examine how excess body weight influences the effectiveness of fertility-preserving treatments and discuss potential mechanisms for effective weight management.

In vitro, the effects of C2F on the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, invasion, and cell cycle of CRC cells were analyzed by MTT assay, EdU staining, colony formation assay, flow cytometry, wound healing and transwell assay. The anti-CRC activity of C2F was evaluated in a nude mice xenograft model in vivo.

However, their practical applications are plagued by the unsatisfactory electrochemical properties of polymer electrolytes and the unstable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). Herein, organic perfluorodecanoic acid (PFDA) is proposed as a new initiator to polymerize 1,3-dioxolane electrolyte (PDOL), which enables the as-obtained PDOL electrolyte to deliver greatly enhanced ionic conductivity and broadened electrochemical window.
