Choriocarcinoma is a malignant cancer that belongs to gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN). Herein, serum metabolomic analysis was performed on 29 GTN patients and 30 healthy individuals to characterize the metabolic variations during GTN progression. Ultimately 24 differential metabolites (DMs) were identified, of which, Equol was down-regulated in GTN patients, whose VIP score is the 3rd highest among the 24 DMs.

Methods: Twenty C57BL/6 male mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: healthy control group (HC), periodontitis group (PD), chronic kidney disease group (CKD) and chronic kidney disease and periodontitis group (CKD+PD). The periodontitis model was created in the fourth week when the chronic kidney disease model was established, and then the mice were sacrificed in the sixth week.

Withanolides isolated from Tubocapsicum anomalum and their antiproliferative activity.

Seven undescribed withanolides (1-7) and six artificial withanolides (8-13), along with 20 known compounds (14-33) were isolated from the aerial parts of Tubocapsicum anomalum. Their structures were confirmed by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses. The absolute configuration of compound 1 was defined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography.

Choriocarcinoma with lumbar muscle metastases: A case report.

Background: Choriocarcinoma is a highly malignant trophoblastic tumor that presents with early symptoms similar to those of an ectopic pregnancy. Here we present a patient with suspected ectopic pregnancy diagnosed by laparoscopic surgery in our hospital. The patient was found to have choriocarcinoma that had metastasized to the lumbar muscle and presented with symptoms similar to those of an ectopic pregnancy.
