Background: Esophageal carcinoma (EC) presents a significant public health issue in China, with its prognosis impacted by myriad factors. The creation of a reliable prognostic model for the overall survival (OS) of EC patients promises to greatly advance the customization of treatment approaches.
Aim: To create a more systematic and practical model that incorporates clinically significant indicators to support decision-making in clinical settings.

The imbalance in gut microbiota triggers an inflammatory response that spreads from the gut to the discs and is associated with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). In this study, we investigated the mechanism of palmitic acid (PA) and trans-4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid (THMC) on microbiota, metabolic homeostasis, and autophagy after LDH. The LDH rat model was established by puncturing the exposed intervertebral disc.

Due to the lack of effective early prediction tools in clinical practice, many researchers have introduced machine learning (ML) into the prediction of post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI). However, the mathematical models for ML are diverse, and their accuracy remains highly contentious.

This investigation aims to address the research gap in fiscal decentralization and haze pollution for innovation and sustainable growth. This study uses the annual data of 270 Chinese cities from 2007 to 2016 for comprehensive analysis and employs spatial regression methods.

Methods: From July 2017 to March 2019, 8 patiens with scapular glenoid fracture (Ideberg typeⅠ) were treated with Double-pulley dual-row technique with shoulder arthroscopy, including 7 males and 1 female;5 cased of injuries in the left shoulder, 3 cased of injuries in the right shoulder;ranging in age from 22 to 56 years old; and the time from injury to operation ranged from 3 to 10 days. X-ray and CT of shoulder joint were taken before and after operation to evaluate the fracture severity and fracture healing.

Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury always leads to knee pain and dysfunction for which surgical reconstruction is recommended, with good clinical results, but decreased postoperative proprioception also tends to occur. ACL stump (ACLS)-retaining ACL reconstruction and non-ACLS-retaining ACL reconstruction are the two surgical options.
Aim: To investigate the efficacy of retaining the ACLS in allograft reconstruction.
In this paper, with sulfuric acid as a catalyst and acetic acid as solution at the temperature of 120 ℃ and refluxing period for 24 hours, a sterically hindered bulky 9,9-diarylfluorene intermediate of [9-(4-anilino)-9-phenyl-fluorene] had been successfully designed and synthesized with Friedel-Crafts reaction. The molecular structure of this compound was characterized in detail with nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum, mass spectrometry, infrared ray, and so on. Nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum and infrared ray spectrum of the compound indicated that the characteristic functional group amino of the compound at 6.

Methods: Hepatic carcinoma cells were cultured in vitro using 39 samples of hepatic carcinoma at stages II-IV. Twenty-nine samples were cultured successfully in the fifth generation cells.
Aim: To investigate the prediction value of radiosensitivity of hepatocarcinoma cells for apoptosis and micronucleus assay.
Methods: Clonogenic assay, flow cytometry, and CB micronuclei assay were used to survey the cell survival rate, radiation-induced apoptosis and micronucleus frequency of hepatocarcinoma cell lines SMMC-7721, HL-7702, and HepG2 after being irradiated by X-ray at the dosage ranging 0-8 Gy.
Results: After irradiation, there was a dose-effect relationship between micronucleus frequency and radiation dosage among the three cell lines (P<0.
Aim: To evaluate the change of growth characteristics and radiosensitivity of irradiated primary cultured human hepatocarcinoma cells.
Methods: All tumor tissue samples were obtained from 39 hepatocarcinoma patients with a mean age of 49.6 years (range 22-76 years).
Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of interferon therapy after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma associated with hepatitis B virus.
Methods: Sixty-two patients with advanced primary hepatocellular carcinoma associated with hepatitis B virus was randomly divided into 2 groups. Thirty-one cases were treated with TACE and Interferon.

Objective: To investigate the effect of rhein on the development of hepatic fibrosis.
Methods: The animal models were made with carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4)) mixed with vegetable oil (3/2, v/v), which was injected subcutaneously twice a week for 6 weeks, and with 5% ethanol for free drinking water. At the same time, Rhein was administrated at the dose of 25 mg/kg or 100 mg/kg once a day for 6 weeks.

Aim: To investigate the effect of rhein on liver fibrosis induced by the exposure of carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)/ethanol in rats.
Methods: Male Wistar rats were divided into four study groups (n=10 each group): healthy controls, CCl4/ethanol-injured rats left untreated, and CCl4/ethanol-injured rats treated with rhein of low-dose (25 mg/kg) and high-dose (100 mg/kg). Rhein was given once a day since rat received CCl4/ethanol injury.
