Precooling storage of bone cement in percutaneous vertebroplasty for osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effect of precooling storage of bone cement in percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP) for the patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF).

Methods: A total of 207 OVCF patients who underwent PVP were included in this study. Two different storage methods for the bone cement were randomly utilized: an operating room (NT group, 23 °C) and a refrigerator (PC group, 4 °C).

Zero-profile anchored cage reduces risk of postoperative dysphagia compared with cage with plate fixation after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.

Purpose: To compare the rate of postoperative dysphagia between zero-profile anchored cage fixation (ZPC group) and cage with plate fixation (CP group) after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF).

Methods: A meta-analysis of cohort studies between zero-profile anchored cage and conventional cage with plate fixation after ACDF for the treatment of cervical diseases from 2008 to May 2016. An extensive search of studies was performed in PubMed, Medline, Embase, Cochrane library and Google Scholar.

Microendoscopic discectomy versus open discectomy for lumbar disc herniation: a meta-analysis.

Purpose: To compare the outcomes of microendoscopic discectomy and open discectomy for patients with lumbar disc herniation.

Methods: An extensive search of studies was performed in PubMed, Medline, Embase, Cochrane library and Google Scholar. The following outcome measures were extracted: visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), complication, operation time, blood loss and length of hospital stay.

Comparison of unilateral versus bilateral pedicle screw fixation with cage fusion in degenerative lumbar diseases: a meta-analysis.

Purpose: To compare the results between unilateral and bilateral pedicle screw (PS) fixation for the patients with degenerative lumbar diseases.

Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of cohort studies were conducted between unilateral PS fixation with cage fusion (unilateral group) and bilateral PS fixation with cage fusion (bilateral group) for the treatment of degenerative lumbar diseases from 1990 to June 2014. An extensive search of studies was performed in PubMed, Mediline, Embase and the Cochrane library.

Anterior cervical discectomy versus corpectomy for multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy: a meta-analysis.

Purpose: This is a meta-analysis to compare the results between anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF) and anterior cervical corpectomy fusion (ACCF) for the patients with multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM).

Methods: Systematic review and meta-analysis of cohort studies between ACDF with plate fixation and ACCF with plate fixation for the treatment of MCSM. An extensive search of literature was performed in PubMed, Mediline, Embase and the Cochrane library.

[Surgical treatment for chronic radial head dislocation].

At present, treatment for chronic radial head dislocation mainly focus on open reduction, and conservative treatment is invalid. While the surgical procedure generally applies to extend ulnar, short radial, reset radial head. Repair or reconstruction of annular ligament is the focus of study.

Methods: Thirty specimens were made according to ISO 9693,and then divided into 3 groups (n=10) through the measurements .Group A(degassed 60s):degassed and then maintained 60s in 980 degrees centigrade Group B(degassed 60s and preoxidation 60s): degassed and maintained 60s in 980 degrees centigrade, then were maintained continuously for 60s in 980 degrees centigrade after re-gassed,Group C(degassed 120s): degassed and maintained 120s in 980 degrees centigrade.
