Background & Aims: Sleep disorders (SDs) are common in chronic liver diseases (CLDs). Some SDs arise from impaired internal clock and are hence circadian rhythm SDs (CRSDs). Bile acids (BAs), whose levels are increased in many CLDs, reciprocally interact with circadian rhythm.

In this study, through introducing triazole-based chelates to increase the chelating angle of -symmetric linear ligands and stabilize the coordination geometry of Eu(III) centers, ML-type (M = Eu, L = ligand) tetrahedra were efficiently synthesized, especially a biphenyl-bridged ligand which is well known to form ML-type helicates. A series of LOPs were formed and characterized by high-resolution electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectroscopy (ESI-TOF-MS) and X-ray crystallography.

However, known UC mechanisms are mainly based on direct energy transfer between metal ions, which constrains the designability and tunability of the structures and properties. Here, we synthesize two types of LnL-type (Ln for lanthanide ion; L for organic ligand L or L) lanthanide-organic complexes with assembly induced excited-multimer states.

However, covalent metallo-supramolecular discrete complexes, decorated with hetero-metallic vertices, have never been reported because of the difficulties in design and control. Herein, we report a series of covalent metallo-supramolecular discrete complexes with 3d-4f vertices synthesized by hierarchical subcomponent self-assembly of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine, 2,6-diformyl--cresol, and lanthanide ions (Ln) with different amines and transition metal ions.

By adjusting the metal/ligand ratio, a single-ligand bridged dinuclear complex La and an infinitely extending two-dimensional layered metal organic polymer (La) can be obtained. Through the induction of the chiral auxiliary ligand , these two achiral assemblies could both be transformed into the chiral mononuclear three-component complex La.

Purpose: Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an immune disease with a diagnosis of exclusion, since no validated biomarkers have been identified. In this study, we explored biomarkers associated with the development of ITP from an immune perspective to inform the clinical diagnosis.
Patients And Methods: Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between normal and ITP samples were analyzed using limma package.
Chiral luminescent lanthanide-organic cages have many potential applications in enantioselective recognition, sensing, and asymmetric catalysis. However, due to the paucity of structures and their limited cavities, host-guest chemistry with lanthanide-organic cages has remained elusive so far. Herein, we report a guest-driven self-assembly and chiral induction approach for the construction of otherwise inaccessible LnL-type (Ln = lanthanide ions, i.

Herein, a family of solvent-free Fe compounds, formulated as (A)[FeL], (HL = pyridine-2,6-bi-tetrazolate, A = (Me)N1, EtNH2, PrNH3 and PrNH4), were synthesized and characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies reveal that 1-4 are all supramolecular frameworks containing the same [FeL] center, which is arranged into two packing modes inter-molecular interactions, that is, a 3D architecture in 1 and 1D chain in 2-4.

Coordination self-assembly provides a promising strategy for the preparation of supramolecular hydrogels. In this contribution, a series of luminescent lanthanide (Ln) supramolecular hydrogels HG-LnL are synthesized by coordination self-assembly of Ln ions and V shaped bis-tetradentate ligands (HL and HL) with different bent angles (∠).

Pathophysiological similarities between chronic infections and atherosclerosis triggered interests between these conditions. The seroepidemiological study showed that Helicobacter pylori strains that express cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA), an oncoprotein and a major virulence factor, was positively correlated with atherosclerosis and related clinical events.

Likewise, artificial supramolecular assemblies, whose properties and functions are mainly derived from their primary and secondary structures, may also aggregate into high-order architectures with emergent functions not available on the individual components. Here we report the first example of an insulin-like hexamerization of lanthanide triple helicates toward a 4 nm diameter hexameric capsule via consecutive metal-directed and anion-directed assembly processes.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features of intestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
Methods: The clinical features, pathological morphology, immunophenotype, and EBER in situ hybridization of 136 DLBCL patients diagnosed in Jinan People's Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University from January 2007 to October 2014 were analyzed retrospectively. A total of 136 DLBCL samples were obtained, the DLBCL sites were categorized as: duodenum (n=23), ileocecal region (n=63), other small intestine (n=29), rectum (n=7), and other large intestine (n=14).
Precision medicine for gastric cancer (GC) is still an unsolved issue, because most available target drugs are not specifically designed for GC. Exploring novel signaling molecules with target value for GC is in urgent need. This study aimed to reveal that interleukin-2 receptor subunit gamma (IL2RG) is such a key molecule in human GC progression.

At present, there is not a tool to predict the prognosis of critically ill patients with AKI and treated with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was to construct a prediction model for the 28-day mortality of patients with AKI and treated with CRRT.
A series of multinuclear lanthanide-covalent organic polyhedra (LnCOPs), including pillar-typed triangular prisms and tetrahedra (Ln = La, Sm, Eu), have been constructed for the first time, through either one-pot subcomponent self-assembly or postassembly metalation. In contrast to the known tetrahedral cages based on transition metals, the pillar-typed polyhedra were favored from the same organic components in the presence of lanthanides. Besides this, facile transmetalations between the polyhedra endow cascade chameleonic luminescence.

Background: Previous studies have shown that DNA methylation plays a significant role in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). In addition to hypermethylation, aberrant hypomethylation can result in the transcriptional activation of oncogenes in cancer, including MDS. Therefore, drugs targeting DNA hypomethylation are needed for the treatment of MDS.

Aristolochic acid (AA) is a group of structurally related nitrophenanthrene carboxylic acids found in many plants that are widely used by many cultures as traditional herbal medicines. AA is a causative agent for Chinese herbs nephropathy, a term replaced later by AA nephropathy. Evidence indicates that AA is nephrotoxic, genotoxic, and carcinogenic in humans; and it also induces tumors in the forestomach, kidney, renal pelvis, urinary bladder, and lung of rats and mice.
