With the wide application of phosphor conversion light-emitting diode (pc-LED) in nondestructive testing, spectral illumination, near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, agricultural medical care, and other fields, the ultrabroadband visible-NIR tunable emission phosphor is considered as the most promising fluorescent material. In this paper, Ce/Cr single-doped and codoped CaYMgGeO phosphors were successfully prepared by using the high-temperature solid-state method. Ce and Cr codoped phosphors show ultrabroadband visible-NIR emission from 480 to 900 nm with two emission peaks at visible 556 nm and infrared 758 nm.

To investigate the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics and assess the ecological risks associated with emerging contaminants (ECs) in the Beijiang drinking water source, non-targeted screening was conducted using the ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technique (UPLC-MS) for one year (June 2022 to May 2023). This study also involved the quantitative detection of eight typical ECs. The results showed that through the non-targeted screening, a total of 346 pollutants were identified, with industrial materials, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides being the predominant pollutants, collectively accounting for 88.

Article Synopsis
  • Increasing evidence highlights that USP10, a deubiquitinating enzyme, is crucial in the degradation of proteins and may contribute to the progression of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), though its specific role is not well defined.
  • In a study using patient-derived PDAC cells, researchers found that targeting USP10 inhibited cancer cell migration and proliferation, suggesting it acts as a master regulator in PDAC.
  • The interaction between USP10 and FOXC1 involves a positive feedback mechanism that enhances WNT signaling, indicating that targeting USP10 could be a promising strategy for treating PDAC.

As a prototypical aggregation-induced emission luminogen (AIEgen), the tetraphenylethene (TPE) moiety has been judiciously modified as organic linkers for constructing various functional metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). However, these AIEgen-based MOFs have rarely received research attention in photocatalytic applications due to their limited stability in harsh reaction conditions. In this work, we report a robust Ni-pyrazolate-based MOF (denoted as TPE4Pz-Ni) under the guidance of reticular chemistry, which is assembled by an AIE-active tetratopic linker of 1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-(1-pyrazol-4-yl)phenyl)ethane (H-TPE4Pz) with a 12-connected Ni-cluster of [Ni(OH)(HO)Pz] (Pz = pyrazolate) in a (4,12)-connected -a topological network.

  • Single B cell-based antibody platforms are effective for discovering therapeutic antibodies, as demonstrated with equine immunoglobins F(ab)2 in relation to equine influenza virus (EIV).
  • Researchers screened B cells from vaccinated horses, identifying diverse equine antibody sequences and creating a recombinant antibody, H81, which showed strong binding and cross-neutralizing effects against EIV strains.
  • H81 not only protected EIV-challenged mice but also pinpointed a functional region important for neutralization, showcasing the platform's potential for optimizing virus-neutralizing antibodies and informing vaccine design.

Extensive research has been conducted on visible-light and longer-wavelength infrared-light storage phosphors, which are utilized as promising rewritable memory media for optical information storage applications in dark environments. However, storage phosphors emitting in the deep ultraviolet spectral region (200-300 nm) are relatively lacking. Here, we report an appealing deep-trap ultraviolet storage phosphor, ScBO:Bi, which exhibits an ultra-narrowband light emission centered at 299 nm with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 0.

  • A "double-layer nested" structural decomposition analysis was conducted to examine changes in industrial water use across sectors in China from 2002 to 2020, focusing on socio-economic development influences.
  • *The main drivers of increased industrial water use were identified as consumption, investment, and export, with per capita consumption experiencing the fastest growth.
  • *While industrial scale expansion increased water use, improvements in production processes and water reuse significantly mitigated this growth, highlighting the importance of tailored water conservation strategies for various sectors.*

A new method of harmonic beam coaxial combination (HBCC) from two intra-cavity frequency doubling branches was demonstrated. Firstly, two identical nanosecond (ns) 532 nm green lasers with high power and good beam quality were created. Each green laser was constructed of an intra-cavity frequency doubling branch based on a laser diode (LD) end-pumped acousto-optical (AO) Q-switched 1064 nm Nd:YVO laser in a LiBO (LBO) nonlinear crystal.

Background: The totally preperitoneal (TPP) approach is a new concept that was recently introduced. Although the TPP approach combined with single-incision laparoscopic hernia repair has its own advantages, there is little evidence reflecting the characteristics and feasibility of either approach.

Aim: To analyze the potential applications of single-incision laparoscopic TPP (SIL-TPP) inguinal hernia hernioplasty for the treatment of inguinal hernias.

Multimode emission of Mn for multimode fluorescence anticounterfeiting is achieved by cation site and interstitial occupancy in CaMgGeO. The rings in CaMgGeO have a significant distortion for Mn ions to enter the ring interstitials with a luminescence center at 665 nm, which is supported by XRD refinement results and first-principles calculations. The interstitial Mn ion has good thermal stability with an activation energy of 0.

While the Pd(0)-catalyzed cyclization of alkyne-tethered unsaturated carbonyl substrates has been reported, the mechanism has not been well elucidated, and the potential asymmetric version remains to be developed. Here, we disclose that a chiral Pd(0) complex can efficiently promote the desymmetrizative cyclization of alkyne-tethered cyclohexadienones in CHOH, and the resultant Pd(II) intermediates further undergo an array of tandem coupling reactions, including Suzuki, Sonogashira, and even chemoselective reduction by CHOH in the absence of additional coupling partners. As a result, a broad spectrum of hydrobenzofuran derivatives, having a tetra- or trisubstituted -alkene motif, is constructed with moderate to outstanding enantioselectivity in an exclusive -difunctionalization pattern.

The existence of the oxidation/reduction interface can promote the performance of a photocatalyst, due to its effect on the separation of photogenerated carriers and the surface reactivity. However, it is difficult to construct two sets of oxidation/reduction interfaces in a single crystal and compare their separation efficiency for photogenerated carriers. Introducing a high proportion of active facets into the co-exposed facets is even more challenging.
