Introduction: Almonertinib is an important third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) exhibiting high selectivity to EGFR-sensitizing and T790M-resistant mutations. Almonertinib resistance is a major obstacle in clinical use. Baicalein possesses antitumor properties, but its mechanism of antitumor action against almonertinib-resistant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains unelucidated.

We had previously found that enhancing brain ACE2 activity ameliorated cognitive impairment and attenuated brain neuroinflammation in SAMP8 mice, an animal model of AD. However, the exact mechanism of action of Diminazene (DIZE) has not been revealed.

Meanwhile, our previous studies revealed that restoration of brain Ang-(1-7) levels provided neuroprotection by inhibition of inflammatory responses during AD progress. However, the potential molecular mechanisms by which Ang-(1-7) modulates neuroinflammation remain unclear.

Methods: Five hundred and seventeen HBsAg-positive subjects aged 1-29 years surveyed in the 2014 national HBV sero-survey in the mainland of China were enrolled in the study. The full-length HBV genome was obtained by PCR amplification and sequencing.

Objective: To investigate the effect of 2-deoxy-d-glucose (2-DG) combined with hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) on anti-tumor activity of breast cancer cells and its mechanism.
Methods: MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cells were incubated with varying concentrations of 2-DG (0, 1.25, 2.
Background: Hepatitis A (HepA) vaccination and economic transitions can change the epidemiology of HepA. China's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita was known to be inversely associated with the incidence of HepA, but a deeper understanding of the epidemiology of HepA in different socio-economic regions is lacking. We compare the changing epidemiology of HepA in three socioeconomic-geographic regions of China.

Prevention of HBV vertical transmission involves timely administration of the complete hepatitis B vaccine (HepB) series and hepatitis B immunoglobulin. Post-vaccination serological testing (PVST) is utilized to determine an infant's outcome after HBV exposure and completion of HepB series.

Objective: To investigate the effect of chloroquine in inducing apoptosis of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells and explore the possible mechanism.
Methods: MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to evaluate chloroquine-induced growth inhibition and apoptosis in human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells, respectively. The ATP levels in chloroquine-treated cells were detected using an ATP assay kit.
Objective: To investigate the effect of small interfering RNA (siRNA)-mediated silencing of monocarboxylate transporter 1 (MCT1) on the sensitivity of drug-resistant nasopharyngeal carcinoma HNE1/DDP cells to cisplatin (DDP)-induced apoptosis and explore the possible mechanism.
Methods: The expression of MCT1 was analyzed in HNE1 and HNE1/DDP cells and in HNE1/DDP cells transfected with siRNA using Western blot. MTT assay was used to assess the inhibitory effect of different concentrations of DDP alone or in combination with MCT1 siRNA on the proliferation of HNE1/DDP cells.
Background And Objective: With the universal infant hepatitis B vaccination (HepB) program, China has made remarkable achievements to prevent and control hepatitis B. In order to further reduce hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, the Chinese government is considering implementing a widespread adult HBV vaccination campaign. We performed an economic analysis of two different adult HepB vaccination strategies for 21-59-years-olds: vaccination without screening and screening-based vaccination.

Recent evidence suggests that metformin might also possess anti-tumour activity. This study aimed to investigate the effects of cisplatin combined with metformin on the proliferation, invasion and migration of HNE1/DDP human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells, and to provide a new target for treating metastasis.

MicroRNA-10b (miR-10b) has been reported to play an important role in some types of cancer, but the effects and possible mechanisms of action of miR-10b in the metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells (NPC) have not been explored. The aim of the present study was to investigate the function of miR-10b in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and to determine the molecular mechanisms underlying its action. The MTT assay was used to assess proliferation of CNE-2Z cells.

Objective: To investigate the risk of HBV infection among the spouses of hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) carriers and to provide a reference for developing strategies on hepatitis B control and prevention.
Methods: A case-control study including HBsAg carriers aged 20 - 45 years-old from the nationwide sero-epidemiological survey for Hepatitis B in both Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces in 2006, together with their spouses were selected as case group, while. HBsAg negative persons and their spouses were among the control groups, under the same residential areas, gender, age and age of marriage to the HBsAg carriers.
