Objectives: Acute pancreatitis (AP) has a high incidence of hospitalizations, morbidity, and mortality worldwide. A growing number of studies on AP pathogenesis are based on cerulein-induced experimental model, which simulates human AP in vivo. It has been demonstrated that both pancreatic acinar cells and peritoneal macrophages are involved in pancreatic inflammation and damage.

Background: Misuse of disinfectants during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has led to several poisoning incidents. However, there are few clinical case reports on poisoning caused by improper mixing of household disinfectants.

[The clinical analysis of 18 cases with acute trichloropropane poisoning].

Objective: To summarise the clinical features of 18 cases with acute trichloropropane (TCP) poisoning for improving the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Methods: Exposure history, clinical manifestations, laboratorial examinations, poisoning causes and treatment were retrospectively reviewed in 18 cases with acute TCP poisoning. The results of peripheral lymphocyte micronucleus tests were compared with the healthy control group (n = 33).

Objective: To evaluate the causes and therapies for the complications induced by endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) in patients with varicose vein of lower limbs.

Methods: From December 2003 to October 2009, 283 cases (totally 361 lower limbs) treated by the endovenous laser treatment or combined with other treatment were analyzed retrospectively. There were 108 male and 175 female patients, with a mean age of 52 years (ranging from 17 to 83 years).
