Association between Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) and sarcopenia in ischemic heart disease: an 1999-2004 NHANES study of 1088 US individuals.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between DII and sarcopenia in individuals with ischemic heart disease (IHD).

Methods: This was a retrospective study utilizing data of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 1999-2004. Adults aged ≥50 years diagnosed with IHD, having complete 24-hour dietary recall data, and dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA)-measured muscle mass were eligible for inclusion.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of idarubicin combined with high-dose cytarabine as a post-remission therapy for elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Methods: From November 2017 to June 2021, 24 AML patients aged ≥60 years who were in complete remission for the first time were enrolled in consolidation chemotherapy with idarubicin (10 mg/m intravenously once for day 1) combined with high-dose cytarabine (1.5 g/m intravenously over 3 hours every 12 hours for day 1-3), and the efficacy and safety were observed.
