Objective: By analyzing the pathological characteristics and clinical data of renal biopsy in our hospital in the past 20 years, to further understand the epidemic characteristics and pathological changes of primary glomerular disease, and to provide regional data for the big data of kidney disease in my country.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of 9448 patients with primary glomerular disease who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2019, aged 18 years or older, and undergoing renal biopsy. Divided every 5 years into a group, a total of 4 groups (first group 2000.

Background: For patients with prior intra-abdominal surgery or multiple arteries, the retroperitoneal robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (rRAPN) is a better choice. The renal ventral tumor poses an additional challenge due to poor tumor exposure. This study is determined to assess the feasibility of an internal traction technique (ITT) in rRAPN for the management of renal ventral tumors.

Inspired by electronic transistors, electric field gating has been adopted to manipulate ionic currents of smart nanofluidic devices. Here, we report a PNP nanofluidic bipolar junction transistor (nBJT) consisting of one polyaniline (PANI) layer sandwiched between two polyethylene terephthalate (PET) nanoporous membranes. The PNP nBJT exhibits three different responses of currents (quasi-linear, rectification, and sigmoid) due to the counterbalance between surface charge distribution and base voltage applied in the nanofluidic channels; thus, they can be switched by base voltage.

An unpredictable ghost peak was intermittently observed during the impurity separation of cefaclor and formulation by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a content from below the reported threshold to approximately 0.3% in different laboratories. Through a series of investigations, the ghost peak was identified as an unusual on-column degradant of cefaclor formed under elevated column temperature but was not an actual sample impurity.

Objective: To observe the effect of different acupuncture intervention time on the improvement of the symptoms of acute facial neuritis and the length of recovery time, and to find the best interventional opportunity for acute facial neuritis.

Methods: A total of 120 patients with acute facial neuritis (all unilateral onset) were randomly divided into 4 groups, namely group A, group B, group C and group D, 30 cases in each group. Acupuncture performed within 3 days after onset in the group A; oral mecobalamin dispersible tablets and multivitamin B tablets were received within 3 days after onset, and acupuncture was started from the 4th day in the group B; oral mecobalamin dispersible tablets and multivitamin B tablets were given within 5 days after onset, and acupuncture was administered from the 6th day in the group C; oral mecobalamin dispersible tablets and multivitamin B tablets were given within 7 days after onset, and acupuncture was applied from the 8th day in the group D.

While the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors has decreased in the United States in recent years, cardiovascular disparities by sex and race persist. Among the factors contributing to these disparities is the physical environment in which individuals live. Neighborhood characteristics, ranging from air pollution exposure to residential segregation, have been found to be related to cardiovascular health (CVH) and stroke risk.

Despite nearly 30 years of treatment guidelines for cardiovascular diseases and risk factors and a parallel growth in the understanding of cardiovascular disease disparities by sex and race/ethnicity, such disparities persist. The goals of this review are to consider the possible role of three factors: the one-size-fits-all approach of most treatment guidelines, adoption of guideline-recommended treatments in clinical practice, and patient adherence to recommended practice, especially the relationship between adherence and patient perceptions. Guideline authors repeatedly call for more inclusion of women and minorities in the clinical trials that make guidelines possible, but despite challenges, guidelines are largely effective when implemented, as shown by a wealth of post hoc analyses.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a devastating neurodegenerative disease and a major cause of blindness in the developed world. Owing to its complexity and the lack of an adequate human model that recapitulates key aspects of the disease, the molecular mechanisms of AMD pathogenesis remain poorly understood. Here we show that cultured human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) from AMD donors (AMD RPE) are functionally impaired and exhibit distinct phenotypes compared with RPE cultured from normal donors (normal RPE).

Despite recent general improvements in health care, significant disparities persist in the cardiovascular care of women and racial/ethnic minorities. This is true even when income, education level, and site of care are taken into consideration. Possible explanations for these disparities include socioeconomic considerations, elements of discrimination and racism that affect socioeconomic status, and access to adequate medical care.

The phytochemicals present in fruits and vegetables may play an important role in deceasing chronic disease risk. Grapes, one of the most popular and widely cultivated and consumed fruits in the world, are rich in phytochemicals. Epidemiological evidence has linked the consumption of grapes with reduced risk of chronic diseases, including certain types of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

A series of metal-organic complexes based on d(10) metals and the ligand H(4)bbh (H(4)bbh = benzene-1, 2, 4, 5-biformhydrazide), formed through hydrothermal in situ acylate reaction of H(4)bta (H(4)bta = benzene-1, 2, 4, 5-tetracarboxylic acid) with hydrazine hydrate (N(2)H(4)·H(2)O), have been prepared and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds [Zn(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(phen)(H(2)O)](2) (1) (phen = 1, 10-phenanthroline) and [Zn(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(2, 2'-bpy)](2) (2) (2, 2'-bpy = 2, 2'-bipyridine) are both dinuclear complexes in which bridging ligands H(2)bbh(2-) display different μ(2)- coordination modes. [Zn(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(1/2)(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(1/2)(H(2)O)](n) (3) exhibits a two-dimensional (2-D) layer structure containing simultaneously two kinds of different coordination modes of H(2)bbh(2-): μ(2)-bidentate and μ(4)-tetradentate.

The multiple-channel reactions OH + CH3NHC(O)OCH3 --> products are investigated by direct dynamics method. The optimized geometries, frequencies, and minimum energy path are all obtained at the MP2/6-311+G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the BMC-CCSD (single-point) method. The rate constants for every reaction channels, R1, R2, R3, and R4, are calculated by canonical variational transition state theory with small-curvature tunneling correction over the temperature range 200-1000 K.

The multiple-channel reactions Br + CH(3)SCH(3) --> products are investigated by direct dynamics method. The optimized geometries, frequencies, and minimum energy path are all obtained at the MP2/6-31+G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the G3(MP2) (single-point) theory. The rate constants for every reaction channels, Br + CH(3)SCH(3) --> CH(3)SCH(2) + HBr (R1), Br + CH(3)SCH(3) --> CH(3)SBr + CH(3) (R2), and Br + CH(3)SCH(3) -->CH(3)S + CH(3)Br (R3), are calculated by canonical variational transition state theory with small-curvature tunneling correction over the temperature range 200-3000 K.
