Background: Primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) is a common manifestation of Birt-Hogg-Dubé (BHD) syndrome, which is an autosomal dominant disorder caused by mutation of the folliculin (FLCN) gene. This study was established to investigate the mutation of the FLCN gene and the phenotype in a family with PSP.
Methods: We investigated the clinical and genetic characteristics of a large Chinese family with recurrent spontaneous pneumothorax.

Background/aims: This study aims to assess the prognosis of liver transplantation for ICC patients and try to identify prognostic factors that could influence survival for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma patients treated by liver transplantation.
Methodology: Between February 1999 and February 2010, 20 patients with ICC underwent liver transplantation. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate the actuarial survival rate and tumor-free survival rate.
