Objective: To explore the protective effect of human urine-derived stem cell exosomes (hUSC-Exos) on radiation-induced salivary gland (SG) injuries in Sprague Dawley rats.

Methods: Fresh adult urine was collected, and primary hUSCs were isolated and identified. The hUSCs were hypoxia-pretreated with 1% oxygen for 24 h and then transferred to a normoxic culture environment for 24 h.

Pennycress (Thlaspi arvense L.), an annual herb of the mustard family Brassicacae, is native to Eurasia and now widely distributed throughout temperate North America. This species is currently being developed as a medicinal herb used to treat nephritis in China and an oilseed crop for biofuel production (Roque et al.

Clubroot, caused by the soil-borne obligate pathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae, is one of the most severe disease in cruciferous crops. Previous studies showed that when oilseed rape was planted after soybean (namely soybean-oilseed rotation), the incidence and severity of clubroot of oilseed rape could be significantly reduced, compared with that with oilseed rape-oilseed rape conti-nuous cropping. Therefore, the soybean-oilseed rape rotation is a good way to suppress clubroot of oilseed rape.

A flexible hybrid film consisting of graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was prepared and employed as a multifunctional sensor to monitor temperature and liquid leakage, based on the piezoresistive effect. The influences of the GNP content on the mechanical, thermal, and sensing properties were investigated. Experimental results showed that both the hardness and Young's modulus of the hybrid film were decreased with an increasing GNP content, while the thermal conductivity exhibited in an opposite trend.

Graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) hybrid films were prepared with the aid of surfactant Triton X-100 and sonication through a vacuum filtration process. The influence of GNP content ranging from 0 to 50 wt.% on the mechanical and electrical properties was investigated using the tensile test and Hall effect measurement, respectively.

Acute lung injury (ALI) induced by intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (II/R) has high incidence and mortality, in which IL-1β was essential for the full development of ALI. However, the detailed regulating mechanism for this phenomenon remains to be unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether inhibition of P38 MAPK could downregulate the expression of IL-1β to protect lung from acute injury in II/R rats.

Background: The objective of this study was to investigate how treatment strategies in the same treatment affected the canine's initial displacement and the stress in periodontal ligament using three-dimensional finite element analysis. And to find out the way to design an effective treatment plan.

Methods: Based on computed tomography images of the teeth and their supporting tissues, solid models were used to build finite element models.
