An analysis of extraskeletal osteosarcoma based on the literature.

Extraskeletal osteosarcoma (ESOS) is a very rare malignant tumor. This study aimed to provide more evidence about the natural history and clinical features of ESOS, and clarify the impact of chemotherapy (CT) and radiotherapy (RT) on patient survival and postoperative recurrence for the sake of gaining a better understanding about the disease. Patient/tumor characteristics, recurrence, treatment, and follow-up durations were collected by searching studies in PubMed, Web of Science, Ovid, Elsevier, SpringerLink, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and WAN FANG Data before June 30, 2023.

Relationship between indwelling site and peripheral venous catheter-related complications in adult hospitalized patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Aims And Objectives: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare the incidence of PVC-related complications between catheterisation in the forearm and back of the hand in adult patients.

Background: A peripheral intravenous catheter (PVC) is often inserted as part of care during patients' hospitalisation. The catheter is typically inserted in the forearm or at the back of the hand in usual practice.

Risk factors for peripheral venous catheter failure: A prospective cohort study of 5345 patients.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to determine the independent risk factors associated with peripheral venous catheter (PVC) failure and develop a model that can predict PVC failure.

Methods: This prospective, multicenter cohort study was carried out in nine tertiary hospitals in Suzhou, China between December 2017 and February 2018. Adult patients undergoing first-time insertion of a PVC were observed from catheter insertion to removal.

[Preparation of inclusion complex of paeonol and beta-cyclodextrin by sealed-control temperature method].

Objective: In the present study, using paeonol as model drug, a new sealed-control temperature method of preparing inclusion complex was developed, the effects of heating temperature, heating time, and crystallinity of beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) on formation of inclusion complex and release of the drug were investigated.

Method: A physical mixture of paeonol and beta-CD was sealed in a container, and heated at the desired temperature for the specified time. The inclusion complex of paeonol and beta-CD was confirmed by IR spectrum and powder X-ray diffraction.
