Article Synopsis
  • The study investigated the optimal process conditions for preparing icariin nanosuspensions and lyophilized powder using the anti-solvent precipitation-high shear method to improve their stability and dissolution rates.
  • The characteristics of the nanosuspension were assessed based on particle size, polydispersity index, and sedimentation ratio, with findings indicating a stable and uniform nanosuspension with an average particle size of 62.51 nm and a drug loading of 16%.
  • Experiments demonstrated that the nano-lyophilized powder significantly enhanced the solubility of icariin, achieving a 100% cumulative release rate within 10 minutes, showcasing the effectiveness of the preparation method in improving water solubility.

Objective: To optimize extraction condition of degumming from flax seed by the response surface method.

Methods: The central composite design-response surface method selected the best technology and forecasting analysis with the ratio of material to liquid, sodium chloride dosage, soaks time as the independent variable and flax seed dry rubber weight for the dependent variable, through to the level of the independent variable multiple linear regression and binomial fitting.

Results: The optimum process condition was as follows: ratio of liquid to materials was 37:1, sodium chloride dosage was 2 g, soaks time was 120 min.
