miR-335 modulates Numb alternative splicing via targeting RBM10 in endometrial cancer.

Numb is a conserved protein plays important roles in the development of cancer. Two Numb isoforms have been found produced by alternative splicing and play contrast roles in regulating cellular functions. It is reported that the expression of Numb long isoform (Numb-L) was increased in various kinds of cancers, but in endometrial cancer, the condition is still unknown.

Alternative splicing of VEGFA is regulated by RBM10 in endometrial cancer.

Vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) gene has three alternative exons which results in multiple isoforms. VEGFA has been found overexpressed in patients with endometrial cancer, but the VEGFA expression pattern and how it is regulated are still unknown. The level of VEGFA transcripts and protein isoforms were detected by semi-quantitative Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and immunoblotting in 29 paired endometrial tumor and adjacent nontumor control tissues.

[Clinical research on acupoint catgut implantation in the prevention and treatment of postpartum pain of uterine contraction with qi and blood deficiency].

Objective: To observe the impacts of the acupoint catgut implantation on postpartum pain of uterine contraction with qi and blood deficiency.

Methods: One hundred and ten primiparas of natural delivery differentiated as qi and blood deficiency pattern in TCM were selected as the subjects. They were randomized into an acupoint catgut implantation group (55 cases) and a routine nursing group (55 cases).

[(1)H-MRS study of auditory cortex in patients with presbycusis].

Objective: To study the metabolic changes of auditory cortex in patients with presbycusis by using proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((1)H-MRS).

Methods: Ten normal hearing volunteers (youth group), 10 normal hearing of elderly (aged group) and 8 patients with presbycusis (presbycusis group) were checked with proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. N-acetylaspartic acid (NAA), creatine (Cr), choline (Cho), γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamic acid (Glu) compound were measured.
