Evaluating intestinal toxicity is crucial for identifying and preventing the harmful effects of environmental chemicals. Owing to the limitations of existing models in evaluating intestinal toxicity, the development of alternative models is urgently needed. This study explored the potential use of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans as a model animal for assessing chemical-induced intestinal dysfunction.

Objective: To analyze the causes of positive irregular antibody screening test and incompatibility of cross matching in one patient with autoimmune hemolytic anemia complicated with neonatal hemolytic disease, and to accurately identify the type of antibodies in patients, and to select a reasonable strategy for blood transfusion.
Methods: One children was enrolled, blood group positive and reverse typing, Rh typing, direct anti-human globulin test, free test, dispersal test and cross matching test were carried out by test tube method and microcolumn gel card; irregular antibodies were identified by the reaction of DTT treatment and untreated panel cells with patients' plasma.
Results: The blood group of the patient was RhD positive B and irregular antibody screening positive, while the blood group of the mother was RhD positive O and irregular anti-screening negative, the result showed that the anti-LW detected in the plasma of the patient was autoantibody and ABO neonatal hemolytic disease (ABO-HDN) was present.
Objective: This study aimed to examine the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) characteristics of primary cardiac neoplastic lesions.
Methods: A retrospective investigation was conducted on 24 cases of primary cardiac neoplastic lesions as confirmed by surgery and pathology results. All the cases in this study received MRI multi-sequence and multi-dimension scanning, including the cardiac long-axis and short-axis cine sequences, parameter sequences of the cardiac long axis and short axis (T1WI, T2WI), first-pass perfusion sequence, and delayed enhancement sequence of the cardiac long axis and short axis.
Background: The present study aims to investigate the role of histogram analysis of intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions.
Methods: The magnetic resonance imaging and clinical data of 55 patients (63 lesions) were retrospectively analyzed. The multi-b-valued diffusion-weighted imaging image was processed using the MADC software to obtain the gray-scaled maps of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)-slow, ADC-fast and f.
Calcium (Ca) as a universal signal molecule plays pivotal roles in plant growth and development. It regulates root morphogenesis mainly through mediating phytohormone and stress signalings or affecting these signalings. In recent years, much progress has been made in understanding the roles of Ca in primary root development.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA novel dietary fiber (MsCDF) based core of maize straw (Core) was prepared by using high boiling solvent of sodium peroxide by high pressure pretreatment (HBSHP). The composition of MsCDF, and several physicochemical properties for MsCDF related to its nutritional quality were investigated. The results revealed that the MsCDF contains high contents total dietary fiber (TDF), soluble dietary fiber (SDF), insoluble dietary fiber (IDF) and two main monosaccharaides, xylose and glucose.
