Background: Previous studies have proposed that the transcriptional regulatory factor tripartite motif containing 29 (TRIM29) is involved in carcinogenesis via binding with nucleic acid. TRIM29 is confirmed to be highly expressed when the cancer cells acquire therapy-resistant properties. We noticed that TRIM29 levels were significantly increased in anlotinib-resistant NCIH1975 (NCI-H1975/AR) cells via mining data information from gene expression omnibus (GEO) gene microarray (GSE142031; log2 fold change > 1, p < 0.

Background: Primary salivary gland-type tumors of the lung (PSGTTL) is a rare intrathoracic malignant tumor that accounts for all lungs <1% of tumors.
Purpose: To introduce two case reports of primary lung salivary gland tumors, and highlight their diagnosis and treatment challenges.
Case Report: The first case was a 30-year-old female, who complained of repeated coughing and dyspnea for 1 year and worsening for 2 days.
Rationale: Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and high-performance liquid chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC/TOF-MS) were used to separate and reveal the molecular characteristics of organic matter in low-rank coals.
Methods: Six soluble portions (SPs) were obtained by sequential thermal dissolution (TD) of two low-rank coals in the order of cyclohexane, acetone and methanol solvents at 300°C. Organic matter with different molecular characteristics were enriched in eachTD extract, which was further separated and analyzed by GC/MS and HPLC/TOF-MS using an electrospray ionization source in positive mode to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the structural composition of coals.
In the present study, a new analogue of pyrrolezanthine (1) was isolated from the roots of Reynoutria ciliinervis (Nakai) Moldenke. Its structure was elucidated mainly by NMR, HR-ESI-MS and the single-crystal X-ray diffraction spectroscopic data. Meanwhile, the antimicrobial activity of compound 1 was measured, it exhibited potent antifungal activity against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum with MIC value of 31.

Objective: To study the impacts of exposure to electromagnetic radiation (EMR) on liver function in rats.
Methods: Twenty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal group and radiated group. The rats in normal group were not radiated, those in radiated group were exposed to EMR 4 h/ d for 18 consecutive days.
Background: Gemcitabine (GEM) is the most widely utilized systemic agent in combination with radiation therapy (RT) for treating locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) in the concurrent setting. Despite recent interest in using two novel oral fluoropyrimidines (FUs), capecitabine and S-1, in this setting, there is a lack of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to support this approach.
Methods: Trials published between 1994 and 2014 were identified by an electronic search of public databases (Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Library).
Objective: To observe the effect of Liuweidihuang Pills in relieving cellphone electromagnetic radiation-induced histomorphological abnormality, oxidative injury, and cell apoptosis in the rat testis.
Methods: Thirty adult male SD rats were equally randomized into a normal, a radiated, and a Liuweidihuang group, the animals in the latter two groups exposed to electromagnetic radiation of 900 MHz cellphone frequency 4 hours a day for 18 days. Meanwhile, the rats in the Liuweidihuang group were treated with the suspension of Liuweidihuang Pills at 1 ml/100 g body weight and the other rats intragastrically with the equal volume of purified water.
Mn(OAc)3-mediated direct Csp2-H radical trifluoromethylation of coumarins with CF3SO2Na (Langlois reagent) to afford selective 3-trifluoromethyl coumarins in moderate to good yields is described. This methodology can also be applied to the trifluoromethylation of quinolinones and pyrimidinones.

They were tested for H1 antihistamine activity by inhibiting histamine-induced contraction of isolated ileum muscles of guinea-pigs in vitro and inhibiting histamine-induced asthmatic reaction in guinea-pigs in vivo. All the evaluated compounds exhibited significant antihistamine activity compared with desloratadine.

The title compound, C(11)H(16)O(4), crystallizes with three molecules in the asymmetric unit. The cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed and these help to establish the crystal packing.

Objective: Variable Number of Tandem Repeats (VNTRs) analysis was a recently developed method which could serve as a 'real-time' genotyping tool for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. One hundred and thirteen M. tuberculosis isolates from the patients with tuberculosis in Beijing were analysed using the reference method to study the characters of genetic diversity and genotype.
